Soapy Joe's Car Wash - San Marcos

Pretty standard set up for self-wash facility. Costs is industry norm. Vacuums are excellent, powerful regardless of distance. Only complaint is that this ace is ALWAYS slammed/busy. Rare to find a gap with only 1-2 cars in the que.

Great concept with very poor execution. Constantly a stack of cars waiting to get into the dry stations. They need to do something to regulate traffic as the San Marcos location is most often times unusable. Can't get in, can't get to a drying station and have to leave with a wet car and no vacuuming.

Soapy Joe's is the best.wash my car almost every day due to doing Uber. Get so many complements about how good my car smells. That's because they give me a new air freshener daily

If you came here during the COVID-19 and you don't have a membership, you won't wash your car. They don't accept payments. Also, here is no vacuum.

The monthly rate of $15 for the Average Joe car wash is a smokin' deal if you like to keep your car clean at a low price.

My car came out of the wash covered in scratches.had to pay to polish paint after this disaster.never going again.

I took my work truck it had a little bit of dirt in the back bed. They help me unload my tool box and swept my truck bed.

Hours say they open at 7 but when I rolled through at 850 the car wash was closed although the pilloil ch guys were out working customers

I love having the convenience of Soapy Joe's in our community! Can be very busy, and may have to wait a few minutes to get through and another few minutes for vaccuums. Always seem to have plenty of towels on hand no matter how busy they are!

Brilliant car wash.pricing during Happy hour is really good. But during happy hours its very crowded.

7E2-808: Great car wash place. It has automated car wash but pretty good. I bought the monthly package so I go to get car wash as often as I can. I also like the supply of clean towels and vacuum.

I enjoyed my first visit to Soapy Joe's over a year ago, and am now an annual subscriber. The lines can be long, and there might not be any slots open for drying/vacuuming your vehicle, but the price reduction due to an annual pass overcomes all the detractions (for me). If you only visit every once in a while, try for the twilight specials - just be prepared the the lines and occupied slots as above.

We really like soapy joe's good deals great customer service from the guy name Adrian for going above and beyond to help us while he was doing 100 other things mean while Jacob complain about everything and said he was to busy to help us while all he did was stand behing the desk doing nothing then this guy had the nerve to come up to me and tell me that he was not feeling well and that's why he couldn't help us, in my head I was like go home then.i believe everyone deserves to work and provide for their family but no one deserves to work with people like jacob.

Great! Great effective equipment & supplies were checked/refilled. Very courteous people at this location. Finished just before closing (oops) Justin was very helpful, polite & still smiling at the end of the day! Excellent. (I know how it feels to close and want to go home. He was very nice in spite of it all.)
The lot is compact so it probably gets congested at busy times so it would be good to avoid peak times.

Please be aware of this location for your safety. I had a monthly membership and canceled the membership when I noticed that as I was going through the car wash, the attendant pulled out his personal phone and took a picture of the screen that displays the customers information. I couldn't get out to see what was going on, but saw that the manager saw it too and walked over to him. When I got through, I went in and spoke with the manager and he confirmed that the employee had taken a picture and I informed him that was not legal and that his employee needed to delete the picture. (The reason he took the picture as told to me was so that he could show the manager that my sticker was coming off; however, the manager was right there and he could have told him then. Too clarify, the attendant did not take a picture of the sticker, but of my customer and car information displayed on the screen). If my sticker was the issue, then the manager should have come up to me after I got out of the car wash; however, he did not and I had to go inside to say something. I was going to call the police; however i did not and requested that my membership be canceled and the employee delete the picture. Just found out that my membership was not canceled and the employee probably did not delete the picture. I should have just called the police and reported the business that day. ***be careful***

Everybody that works here is really nice. Especially that guy Niko. He is always exceeding expectation to give me great customer service.:)

I like taking my car there for a quick wash but often they are over capacity and don't have any open vacuum stations

I have their wash program and it's so easy to keep my truck clean. Fast, efficient and a great value.

Bad Place to go. It sounds it’s cheap. Anything is cheap there is a catch.
Their Brushes scratches your car. If you decided to cancel they will still take it out of your bank.
A bunch of thieves. Watch out.
I will never go back and will not recommend Soapy joes at all to anyone.
