My 16 yr old daughter was so excited all school year to attend the camp, and then COVID struck and the camp was cancelled, but luckily SOCAPA folks regrouped and offered an online version which she attended. She absolutely loved the experience and what I saw of the course and professionalism of the staff impressed me. She waited all year through the pandemic to finally see that they are offering in person camp again, and is thrilled to be attending in person this year.

Wow.so much fun. Yes I was scared to death. Yes I thought I was going to fall and break something while I was up there but before I was harnessed in and yes I would do it again in a heartbeat. This place has walk in classes over the weekend. Guarantee it'll be an experience to remember. Stop thinking about going and go.

Our 14 year old son is currently taking the Advanced Film Program online and loving it. In fact, he's having such a great experience that we signed him up for the screenwriting program in the next session. He's also a true fan of his teacher Nick. In this bonkers world, it's great for our son to have a great program to enjoy and to keep his mind off the current crisis. We can't recommend SOCAPA enough.

I first went to SOCAPA in 2019 and it was the best experience of my life. I got to meet people who wanted to do the same things as I wanted to do and I made some great connections and friendships with people who I still talk to this day. I’m counting down the days until I can go back.

SOCAPA has been one of the best experiences I have ever had. I learned so much and had such a great time. I have grown so much as a dancer and I owe so much to SOCAPA. I recommend SOCAPA for all types of performers. A+!

I had a fun and educational experience and enjoyed the activities planned on the weekends and during the night. I didn’t have the best experience with my specific instructors but overall the staff and kids were welcoming and I made many fond memories at SOCAPA. Super excited to come back for my second summer.

I went to Socapa as young as I could and had a great time. The food is great and occidental college has a great cafeteria. The evening activities were great and came with a lot of freedom to walk around with friends. The classes were very fun and have a bunch of good tips and tricks as well as choreography in them. I definitely recommend Socapa to evreyone, it is very inclusive and an overall great experience

I did the 2-week core filmmaking program last year in the LA campus, and I had the time of my life! I learned so much from incredible teachers who are actually in the film industry, which is even better that just having amazing teachers because they can give even better advice because of their experiences. I met amazing people who were just as passionate and interested in film as me, which created such an amazing atmosphere, and I still talk to them all the time. I've done other film camps before, but I definitely enjoyed this one the most, because I could tell that both the other kids and the instructors really wanted to be there and get the most out of it that they could. I loved it so much that I'm coming back this summer to do the screenwriting program in Manhattan!

I spent two weeks in the acting program in 2018 and it was one of the best summers of my life. As expensive as it was, it was worth every dollar, I made sure to come back for the 2019 program and I am SO excited. The teachers and students were so sweet and welcoming. I was anxious for months before that summer because of how shy and introverted I am but everyone there were so kind and it felt like I had known them forever. I hope every creative person can experience an opportunity as amazing as this.:) Socapa will always mean the world to me.

I had just graduated from my middle school and my mom signed me up for a one week film camp in California because I am super into that stuff. I showed up and was immediately met with open arms and love from the entire staff and student body. The lessons were engaging and absolutely fascinating. I was able to transform a passion for movies and making videos into understanding the process of filmmaking in a very real way. But beyond what I learned, and I learned a hell of a lot, I made friends that I still talk to after two years. After the camp ended, we would group Skype all the time. The bonds and relationships you will make at this camp are astonishing and everlasting. The next year I did the two week camp and met who I would consider some of the best friends I have ever had. I am going to SOCAPA this summer for three weeks this time and I am beyond excited for what’s to come. This place is amazing, please trust me.

Had a blast at SOCAPA LA last summer! I had been doing video productions for four years but had never done scripted shorts. SOCAPA's Core Filmmaking taught me a lot about how to write, direct, shoot, and edit short films. I had a lot of fun and made many great friends in the process. All of the staff members in LA were very friendly. The campus ended up feeling like a giant family by the end of the three weeks and I still keep in touch with many of my classmates. Can't wait to do the Advanced Filmmaking course this summer in New York!

This camp was super fun and helpful towards my future film career! I went in not knowing anyone and came out with some awesome new friends I still hangout with today.
