5 star for the guy who worked extra hard to help me back in November… but I called a week ago talked to a lady was given very false information.called again today to find out what was going on with my stuff… the employee erma chaves was rude to me and disrespectful like I’ve never had heard before refused to help me because I am mentally handicapped. When I asked her to transfer me to someone who would be willing to help me then she hung up on me. Called back a few times to get help and each time I get hung up on! I have no way of getting to the office and so calling is all I can do for now. I would love to say I have never been treated so poorly but quite a few of these representatives are very rude to mentally handicapped recipients and honestly she caused me to go into a bad mental cycle. How can employees like erma chaves be allowed to work in federal positions especially positions where she has to feel with mentally handicapped ppl!

It's SSA so there are a lot of complicated issues to handle and a lot of people to see. The check in process was smooth, clean waiting area, and reasonable wait time. At the window the worker was polite and respectful. I wish I could have accomplished what I needed online, but for having to go in person this was as good as it could be!

In and out. Isn't dirty and smelly like the one downtown. There are many mentally ill people at the one downtown and sometimes they can rude.

Arrived around 10: 15 AM on a Wednesday. Line of people outside of about 8. Waited 1 hour to be allowed entry, a lot of that in the sun. Then there is an additional wait inside where they only seat 8 people. Masks required. No food or drink inside. Guard was friendly. There are bathrooms inside. To schedule an appointment, which allows you almost immediate entry, call the main SSA number and say “appointment. “ For all the signs that say to schedule an appointment, for some reason the actual “how” of that is hard to find. Warning, some folks mentioned appointments started 3 weeks out. Probably depends on location.

Even though there was some waiting they did a very good job and the security fellow helping people outside and inside was very nice. So was Irma who helped me with my social security card problem. These people have a very hard job and are still able to be pleasant and friendly. We are very lucky to have them

Went on a Friday around 11: 30am and was immediately helped by a nice security guard who helped me quickly get through the kiosk questions. I came in to change my name after getting married and fully expected it to be a hassle. But I was out within 20 minutes! There was no fee, I'd completed the application online and brought it with me. I parked on the street right out front of the main entrance. I was shocked at how easy it was!

Arrived shortly after they opened at 9am. Was in line for, maybe, 30 minutes. Once inside, I was helped by one of their employees, who was nice & friendly, and professional. Walked out about 25 minutes later. Accomplished everything I set out to do. I was very satisfied.

Perfect for dropping off viral paperwork completed at home. Internal security guard is wonderfully helpful & great at directing flow of international students, disabled/ interabled adults & confused applicants who know what they need but always disorganized (me!).
I've been sent this quiet Aero drive location numerous times, I always leave two steps ahead but not with exactly what I need. If you can go down to First/ Front Ave early, highly recommend.

The guardian there is very passionate, but the old Asian employee in the window talked to me with a very cold tune. Seems that he doesn’t want to work here at all.

Today I went to the social security office and had a great experience. I was able to park right in front of the office (limited parking available on the premises). The security officer at the door was extremely proactive and guided me to obtain a ticket for the purpose of my visit. There were just a few people ahead of me and the wait time was just 20 mins.

Once my turn came, it took just 5 mins to get everything processed and I was my way out (I submitted an online application before the visit). The SS employee who helped me was efficient in her work. Overall had a great experience and the best experience so far at an SS office.

Thank you for helping today and keep up the great work!

Overall the Aero Dr staff are very good and helped me with a lot of things. Why can I say that? I've used this very office for over 15 years. Yes, there are a few "bad apples" but after going through over 2 years of HELL because the state (not SSA) issued a bogus medical report, things are fixed. Filed notice of appeal Feb 2020 and staff gave me all the proper forms. Came back the next day and appeal was all set -then came COVID.

Recently, I had face to face (not phone) appointment with the Disability Hearing Officer and two days letter got the decision letter from the officer. The bogus state medical report was thrown out, the 2020 decision overturned, and no further SSI medical inquiries for the next 8 years.

The COVID pandemic has screwed a lot of us over who use SSA. They are getting back on track but just try to be patient. If you are appealing a decision like I was then ask for in-person hearing rather than by phone one. I'm glad I did.

It's been confusing if everything is by appointment only or walk-ins are OK. I asked if I need an appointment to bring my revised trust documents and walk ins are back. No appointment needed but try to avoid Mondays or Tuesdays after Presidents, Memorial, and Labor Days. Remember masking is mandated of everyone, both I and the Disability Hearing Officer were, so if you are high risk for COVID like me they are following common sense protocols.

The parking lot is small and it's easier to street park on Afton Rd. If you can't drive or ride share is too much, bus route 25 is an option that stop at the office.

Terrible, slow, inefficient, poor customer service, poor manners. Let’s hold someone accountable for our Social Security representatives!

Finally the office is open without an appointment. I was there by 9, very short wait without an appointment. In and out by 20 mins. Very efficient and security guard help for the checking process to speed up the time.
The only thing is that parking lot is quiet small so be prepared to wait for the parking or park on the street.

I followed your instructions and called to make an appointment. After 44 minutes on hold listening to elevator music and prerecorded apologies about the wait time, the line went silent but stayed connected. Nothing. No music. No prerecorded messages. After another 6 minutes of waiting without any sound from you, I disconnected the call (clearly still connected and counting the time elapsed since calling on my Samsung Galaxy s21). Do you have any idea how much that sucks? Do you even care a little bit? I highly doubt it.
