Social Security Administration, San Luis Obispo CA

My husband received an overpayment notice of $18,000. They put a hold on his SSI payment. He went to the Ventura office 3 times with no luck even after submitting the proper documents and signing a waiver with an explanation that SSI screwed up. We decided to go to the San Luis Obispo Office and checked in no problem. Very thankful to Chelsea in the SLO office who looked up husbands account and saw no one had done anything after 3 weeks of back and forth to Ventura. She saw the problem right away and entered the proof for us. Thank you Chelsea, we appreciate your kindness and expertise. Will go there from now on. Thank you!

If ZERO was made an option, that's what I'd give the Slo Social Security office. Been there on 3 separate occasions, and they STILL cannot produce a Dr's note which states the nature of my disability. Needless to say, these hacks are in charge of my fixed income?

Great experience today at the Social Security office in San Luis Obispo, California. The young lady working at Window # 1 was very efficient and was able to answer all my questions. She made my day!

Chelsea is the most rudest person i have ever spoken to in my WHOLE LIFE! I really wish i didn't sit there for 2 hours just to leave crying due to all the harassment she gave me

This office is horrible we wait for over 2 hours and half and not been help yet looks like if you come early don't matter you not been consider

Chelsea in the San Luis office needs an attitude adjustment! I spoke to a lady on the phone who was very helpful but told me I would need to go in and discuss. I went to another county as that was where the letter was mailed from. 30-minute drive. Went in and waited 1 hour and 7 minutes spoke to a girl named Chelsea. She was the rudest person I EVER met. (I am on hold trying to file a complaint) She actually told me that "if they said they will mail you a letter, they will mail you a letter. Thank you. " In other words dismissing me. I informed her they mailed it to the wrong address, and it has been over 3 months. Again, thank you, go away. I wonder if their pay is based on how many people they talk to, not actually help. She is just there to collect a paycheck and should never deal with the public. If you have to go to the San Luis office, wait for the next person to help. I should have known the guy before me left stating she didn't help at all and wasted his time, too. If I could give a zero, I would.
