SoFA Market reviews
17Good for lunch and has several options to choose from. Food is OK but the place gets crazy busy during conferences and events.
There was a great choice of foods however there POS system at the Cuban place was set to 20% for food you order from a computer screen. And there is no service and the food is served on paper plates and cardboard boxes. The trick is to select custom tip and put in what ever you think that established deserves or 0 if you don't want to tip as there are no wait staff. There is a bar however and it is normal to tip a bartender if I was sitting down to eat at a restaurant being served I don't mind tipping even more then 20% if you want to tip tip your wait staff and deliver people
I love how there’s so many options for food, this is great for groups of people with different tastes in food
Loved this place. SoFA Market is an intimate food hall with a lineup of independent eateries. Cuban, Colombian, Japanese, and Mexican. Plus a few others.
It's okay. The food stalls are not mind blowing and good enough to get you through the day.
Tons of great food choices, I went to the Mexican place twice in two days because it was just that good!
You get a mix of different cuisine though I felt the place was cramped a bit and much be difficult to navigate during busy days
Nice place, lots of different places to eat. Nice bar in back. A little pricey for food and in the bar but worth it.
Been the Desi Express inside the market, the quality, taste and the service is topnotch! Enjoy the glimpse of Spanish streets with Desi flavors
Interesting place. It isn't one single food store. It's a market with like 5-6 different places. There's a choice for everyone. The outdoor seating could use some work as it's a little messy and they don't have big enough trash cans.
Somewhat like a food court with a variety of cuisines intermixed - Vietnom, Umi Rolls, a couple bars, a Mexican place, etc. Now the price certainly isn't food court prices and they try to justify it by making the interior all industrial and pseudo swanky. But this is where I think SoFA Market fails to strike the balance.
Food is a bit pricey for the quality and the taste, and the atmosphere does not compensate for it. Obviously being a "food court", there's absolutely no service yet you are continuously pressured to tip via the digital ordering machines.
Whether you select take-out or dine-in, you are continuously struggling with the modicum of napkins, utensils, and cups of water given out, and the dining area, while with industrial look and feel including wood, has not been optimized for any sort of group dining or finding seats in a stable manner.
If it wasn't for the decent cleanliness (which I can see is quickly deteriorating), I would've notched it down. We didn't have a good time here and probably won't be returning.
There are at least 6 international food options, 1 bar top with bottled spirits (I didn’t see beer), and a dessert/coffee shop.
I ate at the Mexican place which was tasty but pricey. $21 for a Torta with a side of Rice & Beans is a bit much.
I’d go back to try the other places.
Food was ok. Lots of choices. It does smell like homeless if you're thinking about eating outside though.
The market was great as there aren't many options for food at the convention center. We had Indian and while it's more of a fusion, it's definitely satisfied the taste-buds. Lots of places have closed down, so it's good that this place is going strong.
A great place to get a variety of cultural and healthy foods. You can dine on Everything from Poke to Cubano Sandwiches and Pizza to Sushi, lots of seating but cell service is usually not working well when inside so I suggest you eat outdoors on the patio
Excellent hidden gem.
Multi-Cultural foods - Mexican, Vietnamese, Indian, Healthy Salad Shop, Bagel and Smoothie, and a beer bar dive.
Very welcoming, fun, hip. Easy in and out.
Foods are amazing and something for everyone. Midday expect the Mexican Roach Coach aka Food Truck to serve up delicious tacos. Do not get all wound up with the name 'roach coach' - we use this for any and all food trucks.
Also, great place to cool down in summer.
Parking is challenging - worth walking a few blocks to build appetite.
