Sofi Thousand Oaks

My wife and I lived here for 3.5 years. We loved it and have great memories of the place. It's surprisingly large for what on paper is a one bedroom place. We converted the "den" area into a guestroom for when we had family in town. Our son was born while we were living here, and we spent many days roaming around the apartment complex.

Everything is well run, I'm not sure what the market is for other properties, an extra parking space, etc.but we always felt like it was well worth what we were paying. A couple times we considered moving to a two bedroom place elsewhere, but most of the two bedroom places in the area are barely bigger than a Sofi one bedroom.

Maintenance was rarely an issue, we had a couple minor things slip through the cracks where we had to remind them, but 95% of the time things got fixed immediately when we put a maintenance request in.

They try to do community oriented things from time to time, like BBQs and Food Trucks. We never made it to one but always appreciated that they were trying.

The pool area is terrific, and the upper balcony makes it even nicer. We had a couple BBQ/birthday parties there and it was a great setting. At one event George, the manager at the time, brought everyone ice cream as a treat, which was super thoughtful. When the pandemic hit, management was very good about communicating with everyone what was going on.

Overall, we recommend it. It's not perfect, but nothing is going to be, and we will always have extremely fond memories of Sofi Thousand Oaks! Thank you to all the staff there, past and present, who made our living experience there so pleasant.

Responsiveness and care of maintenance staff is second to none here. Much appreciate it.

In the ten months I have lived here I have had nothing but great service and follow up on any maintenance issues. During the recent rain event a small leak appeared in our celling, the team was here in less than 24 hours to take a look and determined that a large repair was actually needed, they had contractors come in and fix everything and it looks like even nicer than it did before. Great job!

I really loved living at SoFi in Thousand Oaks. If you can afford it, you won’t regret it. The complex is beautiful, and the staff works hard to maintain it daily. It feels like you are a part of a community, rather than a number in a complex. From the moment I started the application process with Delores, I knew I would love it there. Delores continued to be very communicative and helpful the entire time I lived there, always greeting me with a smile and helpful solutions. The few times we needed a more senior manager, Kathleen was happy to assist me, she was also very friend and informative. Both women were always extremely professional, very polite and quick to solve any problem I had. Not to mention quite fashionable too, not that that mattered but just added a polish to it all. It always felt more like talking to a delightful friendly neighbor when I went into their office rather than dealing with a landlord which I found to be extremely inviting, making it feel more like home. The few times I needed maintenance, Eddie or Victor came extremely quick after I placed a request online and fixed each thing within mins and at most a half an hour, which was very impressive I must say. They were clean, polite and just very nice men. Honestly, the whole staff I encountered during my time living there were some of the nicest I have to date. I appreciated the fact they all seemed to genuinely care, constantly had such positive attitudes and big smiles. The best smile on the complex was Lettie, from day one when she walked me through the apartment to the last day packing my U-Haul, her smile beamed ear to ear. If my partner hadn’t bought a house, I could’ve lived at SoFi Thousand Oaks for a long time. I moved there because the complex is beautiful and had lots of trees but what I came to find out is the personal made it a home. If you’re in the market for a new apartment I highly recommend it there, it’s a beautiful complex, amazing staff and wonderful location.
