Sogno Toscano Market & Wine Bar reviews
17 A lovely addition to Montana ave. I visited several times and everything I tasted was A+ including.
- Bufalina Schiacciata,
-Bolognese Schiacciata
-Butternut squash pear soup
- Red pepper pomodoro soup
-Artichoke salad
The patio is gorgeous and inviting. Perfect for a date, a meeting, or get together with friends & fam.
They also have a well curated market inside if you want to bring some of the Tuscan magic home with you.
Free Wifi too.
This place really had it all! The vibe here was immaculate, and the dessert and wine that I had was delicious. The outside patio is beautiful and the service was so genuine and interesting to talk about the menu with. I would love to come back here again next time I'm in California.
I’ve been there twice and felt to be in Italy at one of the hundreds bar/cafe’ we have in any big city. Quality of food top, we had a tagliere for two of mixed charcuteries and cheeses and a bottle of Prosecco ending with a tiramisu and a perfectly made espresso.
Service and ambience were high standard. Definitely a must place to go.
Fabulous!
Food was excellent.
Service was great.
Ambience was very European, romantic, quaint.
Great addition to SM.
Nothing like it.
Bravo!
Finally had a chance to spend some time here on Nov. 12. Came in for some true Italian aperativi (drinks and snacks). Two lovely drinks, some taralli and a nice cheese between an afternoon of theater and a later dinner. Beautiful late afternoon weather on the very comfortable patio. Enhancing the experience immensely was Robert on jazz guitar. Throw in the largely Italian speaking staff, and we felt worlds away from Montana Ave.
The place is beautiful and it’s in the heart of Santa Monica. You can tell that staff is dedicated and the attention to the detail is unique.
We discovered a slice of Tuscan charm right in Santa Monica at Sogno Toscano on Montana. The outdoor patio, combined with live music, set a serene backdrop for a delightful Sunday brunch. The staff at Sogno Toscano are not just servers but connoisseurs of good food, guiding us through a menu that offers a vast selection, from eggs and pastries to hearty sandwiches to delectable pizzas, alongside a well-curated wine and coffee bar. The standout dishes were a comforting bowl of butternut squash pear soup and a savory panini filled with salame milano, aged pecorino, asparagus spread, and wild arugula. Our server, Hannah, added a touch of warmth with her friendly demeanor and professional service. Her recommendations were spot on, and her attentiveness ensured our glasses were never empty and our smiles never faded. The restaurant blends authentic Italian flavors with a cozy, inviting atmosphere. In every aspect, Sogno Toscano embodies the essence of a perfect Sunday brunch, and we are already looking forward to our next visit.
I had a fantastic experience. The service was outstanding, the food was absolutely delicious, and the ambiance was charming.
Amazing! The entire vibe, the outstanding food and service will have me coming back for more! Ya gotta get there. The charcuterie.
Visited this Italian gem in LA and was instantly transported back to Italy. The authenticity is unparalleled, from the curated details to the incredible staff and mouthwatering dishes. Felt like home. A true Italian experience in the heart of LA. Bravo!
Sogno Toscano cafe is an amazing experience, live music, excellent service and above all things the best food and the best wine, highly recommended
We just had a beautiful Sunday lunch at Sogno Toscano. The outdoor patio is fantastic. The food was amazing. Delicious gluten free bread for the panini. They’re butternut squash soup was incredible. Then the best coffee I’ve had in a long while. The service was fantastic. Our server Hannah was kind, attentive & an overall joy. We’ll be back for sure!
This charming wine bar has a fantastic ambiance! There's a delightful selection of Italian classics and fine wine which makes for a perfect date night or catching up with friends. Top notch service as well!
A piece of an Italian Bar in Montana! Great for outdoor drinks in the summer and the charming indoor area that’s also a market when it gets a little colder. The staff is absolutely fantastic, accommodating, and generous. The place is worth visiting just to chat with them briefly. They’re also kid and DOG friendly!
Food wise: I do wish they had pasta on their regular menu but the bread they use for their Tuscan sandwiches is perfection, the salads are always fresh and generous, and their olive selection is insane.
Drinks: their wines are on the pricier side, but they are always very good and they’ll let you try them if you’re unsure, which is always a good sign!
Pasties: excellent! They only place I know with pistachio croissants nearby.
One of the best additions to the neighborhood you could ask for. Fantastic cocktails, wine and sandwiches. Beautiful patio, live music. It’s our favorite hidden gem in the neighborhood
Came here in July on a Friday night. Pleasantly surprised by the lovely patio space that was private and peaceful. It was such a vibe that I felt like I was on vacation. The ambiance was further enhanced by very on-point live jazz guitar.
The food was amazing. At first I thought the prices were a bit high, and then I found out every ingredient was shipped from Italy. Happy that they had some nice vegan options. My non-vegan companions naturally enjoyed their food as well. Will be back!
The schiacciata sandwich trend has been taking off in LA and a friend told me her favorite was Sogno and so I started my quest to try them all.
I knew Sogno was located in the nicer area of Santa Monica, but wasn't expecting an actual sit down restaurant. Staff was friendly and helpful enough, menu was more varied than I thought as well. But I came for the sandwich so the soups, salads, pizzas, and charcuterie boards will be saved for another time.
My buddy ordered the Mediterranea which had nice yellowfin tuna in olive oil, robiata cheese, borrettane onions and arugula. This was surprisingly good with the quality tuna and the sweetness of the grilled onions.
I had the Bolognese that has mortadella, buffalo mozzarella, pesto and arugula. Pretty straight forward but the ingredients really shined. We both found it interesting that the bread was warm and slightly toasted and have great textural and temperature contrast to the cool fillings. The bread really is the star of the sandwich.
The sandwiches were good and came in two parts and could easily be shared. The prices seem a little steep as two sandwiches with tax and tip came out to be about $35 each. Are they using quality ingredients? Sure. Is this a weekly sandwich for me? Probably not on my budget, but maybe it is for the super locals. But I would gladly go back if a friend wants to try. For now it's on to the other competing spots so I can try, compare, and pick a favorite
