African Market Place
1st and 3 rd Saturday
Fun place to shop for unique items hand made soaps, Kelly Korn carmel popcorn (the best ever)! African clothing, jewelry and Good food.
Love coming here during the week to check out the art. Always great food vendors during African marketplace
Wonderful variety of products to choose from, plenty of vendors, lots of fin and they people are friendly
My people, if you get a chance visit this place. It is held inside a building that has African American vendors on the 1st and 3rd Sundays. So not only can you check out the art and history, you can shop. African American head wraps, clothes, products, jewelry, food.you name it, it's there. Not only that but you can find out about other happenings in the community.
Best kept secret! Must see in Florin area of Sacramento, CA. The murals are so skillfully done that I got lost in time viewing the African American & Latina collections all the while snapping pics. Then I browsed the merchant shops & found a few souvenirs.
Absolutely wonderful. Love my Peeps. I found lots of great one of a kind gifts. Good learning the history.
Great merchandise, music and vibe. A family oriented community with beautiful people who have the most beautiful spirits.
There seems to be an opportunity to have a reconnection to another level of history and legacy that I've never experienced before.
A safe space in a world where space is unsafe. Take your family, tell your friends there is nothing like it here in Sacramento. Experience the culture of art, food, boutiques and more! The centre is bustling with people and food for the soul, activities for kids and shopping and music for the adults every 1st and 3rd Saturday of every month. Don't pass up this experience. ️
Awesome I got some incredible beautiful gorgeous orange earrings in a beautiful awesome gown halter-top pancit I love it it's very comfortable thanks to mrs. Dana
Beautiful place to learn experience the culture and most of all support black owners and business
We heard Sacramento had an African American Museum so we thought we'd see some history. The location isn't noticable from the outside but it's essentially a building with vendors. They have some graphics and paintings on the walls as well as entrances to boutiques or shops. I'd suggest going during an event so you can experience the food. We weren't greeted and most of the pictures don't have descriptions. I think most of the art was promotions or donated.
Fantastic place beautiful art work all around the buulding. Love the African Marketplace it jas the best clothes.bags and jewerly.visit today but bring 100.00 dollars it will be worth the money spent.
Awesome place soo much black business and inspiration all in this building also other useful resource of all kinds for EVERYONE.
Really amazing art and check out the mural in the back of African American history that goes a mile down a long hallway
This place has lot of really smart, innovative and friendly African American vendors. This is the place to purchase African American cultural items including naturally made oils, incense, soap, serums, cure-alls and other stuff your mama will love. The art that is showcased in the museum is authentic and truly reflective of the beauty and complexity of black struggle in the U. S. This is a place you will want to bring friends and family members who need to deepen their understanding about blackness and African American culture. They also have food, jewelry, handbags, books, clothes, and other cultural items for sale at very reasonable prices.
