My #1 place to go to. I’ve gone to almost every shop in the Bay Area and I’ve continued to go here over 10 years. Good people, kind, knowledgable, welcoming. I’ve dealt with Jesus, Ben, Adam, and the old man. I’ve had nothing but good experiences every time. Will continue to do business with these lads

By far my favorite gun store in the area, staff is so knowledgeable and welcoming. They did amazing work on my Glock modifications and this is my go to place to shop all my firearms needs.

Solar is like my second family. Best service. Awesome people. Best prices. It’s gets no better than Solar.

This local gun shop never disappoints us. Great staff ready to assist you and help you through out your purchases. They have a great variety of products and great prices compare to other local gun shops.

Granted, this place is probably not the best place for newbies, but if you have done minimal research and go in generally knowing what you want, they'll take good care of you. For a shop that is in the central bay, you can't beat the selection.

Only gun and ammo store I will go to amazing selection of guns and ammo don’t waste your time going else where I will only buy from them because of great customer service and there top notch selections

Terrible terrible place. Customer service is horrible, they have disdain for their customers. The location is Livermore is much better and conducts like a normal gun shop. This location is run by jerks.

Called about a simple extended mag inquiry and where it was in the courts and the guy was super cool about answering my questions. I called other gun stores with the same question to see what different people were saying and every other gun shop I called were def more rude than this place.

I feel this store has gotten better over time, and overall service surpasses the previous firearms businesses that inhabited this location.

Plenty of selection and a solid group of people running the show. Very helpful and informative when I had any questions concerning inventory. Great prices, inventory and customer service. What else can I say?

This place has a good assortment of modern weapons the ammo prices to vary and may be worth while if none is found elsewhere I do like the Livermore store a bit better terms with selection of firearms

Amazing customer service! Very knowledgeable staff on firearms & always have a large selection readily available. Also love that they have weekly/monthly specials!

Great sales rep. As someone new to firearms, they were very helpful, got us up to speed on CA gun laws, and let us get a feel for the different kinds of guns. I took my test there too. I would note though that their inventory is expensive so be prepared before you make a purchase. Otherwise, definitely coming back!

Walk-in PPT, on weekend. Waited about five to seven minutes for our turn. Process was five minutes in and out. Guys are great in there. Awesome selection. Good prices. Clean store.

I bought my very first gun at this store SOLAR Tactical. We look around all the way to Fremont and only find what I’m looking because they have great selections and ammunition is available. Mr Nash is helpful and kind. That day is my friend birthday and he too get S&W 9mm. So I brought friend and bought the same S&W. Today was our fourth time and my friend got AR and was on sale. What a Surprise and price were great. Forgot the name of seller.very nice fellow. Will come back again.

The employees are very friendly and helpful And They have a good selection of firearms to choose from which is pretty impressive at this time because of the pandemic every other place I’ve been to has very limited stock this will be my second purchase

I have been going to Solar Tactical for years now. Just did a transfer the other day. I am always treated with respect and Adam has always spent the extra time to talk to me about my purchases. Due to COVID hours are somewhat limited and they can only let a certain amount of people inside, but those are not their restrictions - that's COVID and the health department.

In reading some of the most recent reviews I am surprised by some of the negatives. Especially because the pre-COVID reviews are all awesome and 5-star. Can't harp on them because of COVID. You are lucky you can even purchase a gun and/or ammo.

First, I have done numerous gun transfers and NEVER had an issue. Rules are changing and things are strict - they have to follow the law so if someone couldn't do a transfer I am sure it was for a good reason.

As for the price of firearms and ammunition.welcome to California. Yes, gun prices have gone up a great deal because some many people want to purchase them.and when there is a low supply and high demand - the prices change. Sure, you can see that a Gen 3 Glock can be purchased out of CA for $600 - course good luck finding one. And yes, other stores advertise ammo - 9mm for half the price but good luck getting it. Sorry you waited until the market was on it's way up and you paid up. It's not their fault you waited to buy a gun last minute.

I just don't think the most current reviews are a fair judgement. Of course if you go somewhere to buy something and they don't have it or it's more than you thought - you will be disappointed - but it's a sellers market right now.

Anyway, I want to again thank all the people at Solar Tactical for all their hard work and for at least having stock of ammo and firearms when most other places don't have anything.

As a first time gun owner I walked in not knowing much about the cost of firearms. This place took advantage charging me triple the normal retail price for my handgun. As I looked deeper almost all of their firearms are triple retail. Do not go here if you're looking for a fair price. I am furious at myself for not checking reviews.
