Sombrero Mexican Food

The food here is much better than any fast food place I know of. The tamales were really good. Plenty of stuffing and steamed just right. Seating is plentiful and comfy enough. The green chilies at the condiment bar were really good. I had never been to a Sombreros before and didn't expect much but this place exceeded my expectations.

Machaca burrito was soggy, used pico de Gallo making it soggier and raw onions the meat way too soggy and wet, egg undercooked.

I ordered carne asada fries for myself and my daughter. One with sour cream and guacamole and the sour cream was rancid I could not eat it. It is pretty pricey for the valley and the quality of the food was not good. Fries were also unseasoned.

Stop by this evening. Ordered the food I KNOW I ordered while I sat passenger seat. My girlfriend ordered, I heard the order repeated back and somehow still screw up the order, when I call in to the manager Yvona or whatever I could make her name out to be was immediately defensive and stated that she repeated order, So now I’m stuck with $30 worth of food I DID NOT WANT. Thanks Sombrero, why not hire employees who like their job and are non combative with customers or show up to work with apparent “hickies” all over their neck while dealing with customers including my children. The Imperial Valley is notorious for poor customer service, I wonder why!

Flys we’re everywhere! On our food, on the windows, entrance door, on our faces, up my husbands nose! It was disgusting! I went to ta.a manager but they sent an employee instead, I insisted I wanted to talk to a manager so they sent me Alma, the manager. She said it was the cities problem and apologized for the flys

Paid around $10 for rolled tacos, I would normally pay $5-6 for. Not worth the price. Extra dollar for something they call quacamole.

Sombrero never disappoints, I love the California burrito from this place. It's always on point.

My work orders from this place and always always always never get the order correct or always leave something out. Without fail. Today, we only had 3 orders. Just, 3! Recieved the wrong drinks, NO SALSA and missing 2 bags of chips. Very simple still managed to do it incorrectly. We will not be ordering food from here for our meetings anymore.

Omg I just went to sobrero Mexican food at el centro, services was so unprofessional. They made a mistake with my order, I told them that it's not my fault she answered my manager said NO we cannot fixed even tho it was they mistake.
I really do not recommend the place. So unprofessional and disrespectful.

Got the half order of chile verde fries, highly recommend if you're craving fries but want to try something other than carne asada.definitely sign up for their rewards program and start getting those free percs

Menudo is always good! A few other restaurants I've tried change up the recipe depending who's cooking.

Its a good place to eat. Mexican food american style. Not real mexican food. But its good. I love the chiles rellenos

Burrito fell apart on me, and food is very pricey. Not going to talk trash about a restaurant everyone can be their own judge.

Good service burritos are perfect size, not small not too big. Flavorful and with some salsa. Mmmm Feel like going back for another one

I treated my sister to this place and it was the worst! The hot sauce they gave us was spoiled! It ruined our meals. The health inspector needs to check this place out. I was sick for three days! I use to love coming here, but now I don't trust coming here and I tell my close friends and family to stay away. You don't want Fermented hot sauce on your food STAY AWAY. And the staff are incompetent, especially Johana the manager! She was rude!

Pleanty of space & seating with paintings on the wall. Fast food restaurant yet the food, space, traditional Mexican music and televisions diminish the fast food feeling. Large portions for the price, excellent carne asada and breakfast burritos. Salsa and pickled carrots top them off. Convinient location just off the I-8 surrounded by shopping. Literally "San Diego style food" in the Imperial Valley.

It's been two separate occasions where I ordered a carne asada burrito and carne asada fries. Both times the meals smelled and tasted like fish. Even my two year old vomited. I ended up getting food poisoning too. Today is the third and last time I order food from here. I ordered a carne asada and egg burrito and again got that fish smell and taste. Screw this place.
