What a wonderful experience! Matt is extremely professional and so fun. He is prompt with communication, and helps with whatever you need every step of the way. We had a very different style playlist we were looking for on our wedding day and he more than delivered! The dance floor was full all night.
He had music set up to play throughout our entire venue, with the volume level perfectly set to still be able to mingle. None of his equipment was too “invasive” and didn’t take away from the aesthetic of the wedding itself.

We met up in person twice- once upon booking him to ensure it was the right fit, and another two weeks before our wedding day. He is such an easy going person, our meetings lasted a little longer because it was like hanging out with an old friend.

Matt did our wedding in Foresthill at the end of October and it was PERFECT! Throughout the planning process, from first contact forward, he was super communicative, professional, and easygoing. He helped us really get excited about our wedding day and its music, with thoughtful suggestions and personal touches to bring it all together. Matt was a phenomenal DJ for our wedding in every aspect - planning, coordination, and execution. We found planning with Matt to a breeze. We had an initial video call where we were able to tell him exactly what we were hoping for, and then periodic video calls leading up to big day where we were able to dial in the details. Coordination on the day of was also very easy. Despite not playing the venue before, Matt was a true professional and handled it with ease. He was prompt, showing up 3+ hours early, and had all of his equipment ready to go (an outdoor ceremony setup & indoor reception set up) well in advance. He even helped me plan a reception speech surprise for my bride prior to the ceremony! And lastly - but certainly most important - Matt was an excellent DJ for our wedding ceremony and reception. Matt helped us have a beautiful ceremony with the recessional & processional we envisioned, and had us mic'd up during the ceremony for our guests to hear. After the ceremony, Matt moved indoors and got the party started. The music was everything we could have hoped for, and our guests were on the dance floor all night long! As a nice bonus, he even compiled some video footage from our special day!

I attended a wedding this past weekend where Someone Said Yes provided DJ and Photo Booth services. I was just a guest, but from a guest perspective, the DJ was awesome and super professional (while keeping it fun), and the Photo Booth absolutely MADE the evening. We all had so much fun. I will definitely be keeping them at the top of my list to call or refer friends to.

My husband and I got married in May 2023. When it came to the music, I knew I liked country music and I knew as the night went on, I wanted people to get DOWN on the dance floor. I didn't really give DJ Matt too much to go of off but he NAILED it. It every way, before the ceremony, during cocktail hour, the reception and everything in between. My husband and I got married March 25 and Matt was absolutely amazing! He was very easy to talk to gave great advice and input and made planning stress free. He also helped us keep to our time line and gave us heads up throughout the wedding when he would be announcing like first dance or the garter toss etc. He also offered a slide show to add on to his DJ services which all the guest loved because we were able to share photos to all our guest and we themed our " Our Story". 11/10. This DJ is perfect for the wedding environment! He displayed our engagement photo on a digital screen (like a small sideshow), brought a little photo booth to take pictures of friends and family, he passed the mic around to make speeches. He uses multiple music software and websites (like YouTube and Spotify). This guy knows what he is doing, easy to relate to and provide professional input, and he's GOOD! I would recommend Someone Said Yes to my friends and family who are looking for a DJ for their wedding. Worth every penny and deserves an MVP award.

What can be said about Matt that hasn’t been said already! I feel like we were carried through the entire planning process by him and we left the whole experience elated! We never wanted our conversations with him to end as he was fun, highly experienced, and carried himself so professionally. From the moment we got engaged, we agreed that a good DJ was our top priority. Luckily, it didn’t take long to find Someone Said Yes! And after looking through his Instagram, we knew that he had the skills and style that we were looking for. Matt delivered that and so much more.

During our first call, Matt was so easy to talk to. He was patient and knowledgeable; he didn’t hesitate to work with creative song choices but would also offer insight if we couldn’t make a decision. When we asked to add his assisted photobooth service (Someone Said Smile!) at the very last minute, Matt made it happen with no complaints. We even leaned on him to help us finalize our timeline and he was happy to help with that, too!

On our wedding day, Matt arrived early, looking fresh, and dressed to impress. Along with his custom DJ Booth and Photobooth setup, he brought lights, microphones, and little table signs with a QR-code for requests. He guided us through our ceremony and made our song choices flow together perfectly. He kept the vibes up at the cocktail party and led us through our speeches, dinner, and the reception without any hiccups. He even made it a point to go to each family member that was going to speak and walked them through the order and how to use the microphone properly. And finally the full out dance party! I never saw the dance floor empty. Matt brought both of our families together on the dancefloor and gave us so many moments that we’ll remember forever.

In short, Matt is a great guy and a 5-star DJ! He works great with other vendors, he’s professional, quick to respond, and has the kind of passion for music and DJing that sets him apart. You won’t regret choosing Someone Said Yes!

Matt is awesome. It was crunch time with about a month left before our special day. The search for a DJ was troublesome because either of us didn't have much experience in this area and didn't know what to expect. Matt did a great job at first conversation in providing a visual to what our day will look like. He has a wealth of knowledge and experience and provided us with a lot of great suggestions for things we've never even considered. He has a great setup, even offers QR bar codes for guests to requests music from. Our day of couldn't have gone any better. He works very well with guests and vendors alike. With the exception of formalities, not once have I seen the dance floor empty. Matt @SomeoneSaidYes is a steal and would recommend him to anyone seeking a great DJ!

For my wife and I, Matthew from Someone Said Yes was an integral part of our big day coming together. He's phenomenal at what he does, from the playlist he cultivated that drew on our unique interests, to the expert way that he managed the energy level of our small event, inspiring moments where people came together naturally on the dance floor while leaving space for guests to mingle and reconnect with one another too. However, to me, what set Matthew apart was the way he made us feel like we were friends who'd known each other for years, like we could approach him at any point about anything, and that he was truly excited and happy for my wife and I. First off, Matt was AMAZING!
We met Matt at a wedding venue open house and he was so nice and easy to talk to, very easy going. We ended up booking him for our wedding that night. Matt was great at communicating the process so we knew exactly what to except and how things were going to go.
We scheduled a meet up with Matt to go over the timeline of the wedding day. He was very well versed in what style songs to place at certain parts of the wedding. Hype vs slower etc
He really put in the time and shared his opinion and experiences. Now obviously we had the final say but we would have never been able to complete our song list without Matt. We appreciated his experience and his ideas. Fast forward to the big day! TOTAL HIT! Matt blew us and the guests away. People were even able to request some of their favorites which really made our guests feel included. Our dance floor was NEVER empty. We had guests of all ages showing off their dance moves.
