Awesome the people that work there are fantastic. I had been cancelled on my home journey to Australia and they sooo helped and made a terrible situation turned into a good experience. Great excersise equipment. Great pool and sauna.
If you like to walk, there is a wonderful 5 mile walk around the bay. You will not be disappointed.

Well I don't know why this place have a high rate!
The first look when you come in the room with the nice view you will like it! And then you start to realize the smell it's awful and the furniture it's old and dirty and smelly,   the fridge dying slowly, the floor and carpet are dirty looks like they never vacuumed it before they have a new guest! The bathrooms have hair in the bathtub and around the toilet seat and on the floor.my recommendation to buy clorax wipes and clean everything!
To be fair it's the only place with two bedrooms suite perfect for a family if u don't care about anything I mention up there then you will love it!
*we didn't try there breakfast because of all the reviews before no one recommended it so we decided not to try it.

When we first arrived we were greeted nicely but once we were walking to our room the entire hallway smelled like sewage and once we opened the door to our room it started to fill the room with that smell. The only reason it got more than one star is the front desk guy was kind enough to move us to another room. Once we got to the second room there was no smell but there was blood on the bathroom door? Or at-least what looked like blood. We were supposed to stay for 2 nights but after our experience with the first night we decided to just go to a different hotel. I won’t stay here again and I don’t really recommend it either. When we told the lady at the front about the blood on the door the next morning she didn’t care, she only cared about checking us out of the hotel.

This hotel is in a lovely location on the Bay, and I was lucky enough to have a room overlooking the water. Easy access to the Bay trail, very quiet area in the weekend. The suite was comfortable and well appointed. Definitely recommend.

I booked the room through telephone reservation, agent Hannah said we can check in as early as 10 am. Whan we arrived the hotel Julio said " early check in is based on the availability and he told us to wait until 12 pm. I knew that there are so many empty rooms available to check in immediately. I requested Julio that we had a long drive and just needed to rest. While we were waiting in the lobby, he let two other families to check in and gave us room at 1pm. He said he is the supervisor. I wish I could share my experience with his manager. I will not.stay there in the future.

Very nice, friendly staff. In San Francisco for medical reasons and this extended stay hotel is close to UCSF and affordable. Location is great, right next to the Bay Trail.

Older hotel mold in the bathtub. Stinky carpet and shower curtains. Room wasn’t cleaned after working all day Netflix does work on the tv stuck with local channels. Avoid

Hair, hair everywhere.
It’s pretty gross. On the counters, on the floor, on the toilet seat, in the shower, and even embedded in the towels.
I feel like Sonesta can do better and currently, they don’t deserve their rating of a 4.2

This location is terrible. First there were significant safety issues. Random strangers were able to get into the facilities and a fight broke out in the pool area endangering my kids. Management called the police after several such incidents. The so-called kitchen is way under equipped - there were significant lack of necessities and the front desk / housekeeping were very rude when I made an inquiry. Everything we had to ask multiple times to get. DEFINITELY Will not stay here again.

Great place and nice pool and hot tub. It was our fault we didn't look at the location of the hotel. South of San Francisco for sure.

I don’t know why this hotel is highly rated! It’s an old residence inn that needs a lot of updating! Our room needed a lot of TLC! We got a double queen suite for the night. Beds were ok for comfort. All the handles for the doors in our rooms were falling off. The chair legs to the dining room table were all wobbly. We had to leave a chair outside our room so they can take it away since it was one seat away from being broken. We found old, funky, and filthy slippers under our bed— gross!
The place seemed very short staffed and it was hard to get towels or anything else you needed. I honestly feel like I should overpaid for this place. Only pro: cable TV.

Giving two stars because the room layout was great. Spacious and perfect for taveling with kids, we had our 17 year old, 2 year old and newborn with us so the layout was exactly what we needed. However, the room itself smelled like it was once a smoking room and like mold (we all noticed it), hallways smelled like cigarettes and pot, the floors were so gross by the time I noticed it the bottoms of my daughters feet were literally black, the refrigerator was on its last leg, couches and chairs were filthy and stained, two phones in the room and neither one of them worked. I couldn't find the wifi password and my kids were sleeping so I couldn't walk to the front desk I had to call the main number and no one answered the front desk phone so I had to call the main number and wait on hold for 20 minutes just to get the wifi password.
As stated above the room layout is great but everything else was not so much especially for the price.

Nice lobby and staff, indoor pool and fitness area. Nice view from the room. The view was of a river like part of the bay, there was a garden outside with a gate only accessible in and out with a hotel key. The lobby was huge and had plenty of charging ports, a table for business, chairs, etc. The indoor pool was nice and warm and has a handicap lift. Thats the pros. The cons are very hard beds, no microwave in the rooms, everything costs money including the breakfast and not a flat fee, by individual product. The air conditioner thermostat is on the wall, but it runs a very old window metal one like you see in old hotels so of course it makes loud noises turning on and off. The beds were so hard i slept on the floor instead. Bathroom was spacious but the toilet was only about 6 inches off the floor with no rails or anything to help you up and it was in a nook, so no stretching out legs or having disabilities with that toilet. So 50/50
