Sonesta Select Pleasant Hill

We have stayed here 2 different times. Highly recommend this hotel. The staff is very friendly and accommodating. Corrina Florintine (sp?) help us solve a problem…On our last night before an early flight the next day, my daughter and granddaughter wanted to stay with us (for convenience). Corrina F. Let us switch to a room with 2 beds at no extra cost. She went above and beyond what I expected. Super great customer service. This will always be our go-to hotel when visiting our Son in Pleasant Hill. Thank you for your kindness.

Have been staying at this hotel a couple days a month for the last 12 months. It is fine, but as you probably know, it's the details that really matter.

Like why is the security deposit more than the cost of one night in a standard room? When are hotels going to realize it's not about how much, it's about having the card to begin with. Putting a hold on that much money is unnecessary and intentionally prohibitive; especially when hotels don't post this amount anywhere when purchasing.

Why do the rooms have motion sensing lights? And why, according to the front desk person I spoke with, is the maintenance team the only people that know how to turn it off? I don't need bright lights coming on in the middle of the night just because one of multiple people in a single room decide to move. It couldn't be more annoying.

Why does your fitness center (that I use every visit) have a legit water-cooler but never any cups to use it with?

Why do you think it is okay to start charging for parking when you share your parking lot with a dozen other businesses including Rite Aid and Staples? And I don't appreciate your desk person automatically charging me for parking instead of first asking if I have a vehicle and informing me there is a fee. They knew this was a new policy, and even if it wasn't, you can't assume.

This place has value, but it is steadily losing ground.

Nice room, very comfortable bed, liked the small couch/ottoman to sit. Good TV, good shower. Only downside is the bright 2 lights that come on by motion detector when one goes to the bathroom in the middle of the night.

Great for the price, dog friendly, just a clean mid-line hotel with most features, just lacks personality and frills.

Beautiful rooms close/walking distance to so much restaurants movie theaters restaurants bowling and so much more. Customer service is amazing and the smell inside the hotel is delicious.

Recent 2 night stay here. Hotel met our needs. Room was clean and staff encounters were good. Lack of food options in the hotel were disappointing.

I just had a very good experience at this hotel, yesterday, (friday night) im usually traveling for bussines, I own a restaurant, customer service is very important to me after a long overwhelming day I had to find a place to stay for a couple days, I gave this place a try and im honestly impressed by the customer service I received at the front desk by corrina Florentino, a small issue at the room got fixed in a second no questions asked my room very nice and clean I recommend this place my kids love it exactly what I needed on a very long, stressful, day very impressed!

Visited for a family reunion, rooms were quaint, staff was friendly, close to local events

Have always had clean rooms, majority of the staff around the hotel are fantastic. They are very accepting of my two dogs. Quiet hotel lots of stuff to do nearby.

Patio doors in rooms 2 would not lock
Staff moved me no problems. A little noisy by freeway an thoroughfare. Room very clean. I would stay there again.
Could use a in-house mini store.but it's by everything.

Pet friendly. Workout room is big. No pool. No breakfast. Coffee in the lobby except for the morning they had a banquet because they needed the coffee pot for that.ummm ok. There's no way to play movies on their TV with your own device - there's hdmi inputs but no way to switch the input on the remote which was a major bummer. Outdoor patio is too noisy to enjoy because of the noise from the freeway and street. Lobby is too noisy to enjoy because of loud TV. I did not enjoy the motion sensor lights in the room - I don't like bright lights blasting me when I need to go to toilet in the middle of the night - there is no way to disable them until after they turn on and then they reset to blast you again the next time you need to go. And there's 3 of them (entry, sink, and toilet/shower) by the time you get to the toilet.so the whole time I'm just constantly getting blasted and turning off lights. Jeebus. There was another issue, but I'm tired of writing.

I'd honestly love to sing praises from the heights for this hotel.but it comes with some caveats. To the huge positive, the "front desk" staff are consistently impressive.know me by name, friendly and welcoming to all guests and the support staff are equally gracious. The rooms tend to run on the small side, but are very quiet considering the hotel's location, the beds comfortable and the linens well laundered. The mini fridge is just that - mini - so if you intend to stay longer than a weekend I'd suggest that you bring an ice chest. The big "lacking" is a microwave, although there is a "common use unit in the ground floor snack area. Prices are quite good, but I'd suggest this as a weekender rather than an extended stay site. The on-site restaurant was also closed, so zero breakfast/lunch options.

Friendly and professional staff help to make my first visit to pleasant hill an awesome time

Have been traveling to the lovely city of Concord for more than 25 years and I must say our stay here at Sonesta Pleasant Hills has been the most restful! From booking our room to check in and out was a breeze. I requested a disabled room due to my mother's physical restrictions and the rooms accommodated completely. The beds were at an easy sit and stand height. The shower had multiple safety handrails. Wonderful for helping mom out in shower. Rooms and bathrooms very clean. Beds clean and soft to the touch. Colors and decor are very nice. Good choices of furniture to still be pleasant and functional for disabled. Overall great experience!

Well located in a nice area and within walking distance of a variety of eating options and stores (even a theater) Though no in-house breakfast at this time, we highly recommend it.

Quite a comfortable and very secure place to stay. The remodel after being the Courtyard Marriott for many years was quite nice.

I accidentally booked my room here for 5/14-5/15 when i was supposed to arrive 5/15 and stay until 5/16. This was after a really long, kinda rough day and I live far away so I would not have made it in time. I called right away after realizing my mistake and Christina (who was working at the time) fixed my dates for me and was so kind! I had expected to lose out on my money since the room was non-refundable, but no, she helped me and made sure I would have the room for the correct dates. Thank you so much.
Today I spoke with Ashley and then the general manager who checked us in, and they were both so pleasant. To top it off, the rooms are very clean and nice! Great value for the money. 10/10 would stay here again, I feel welcomed and completely valued as a customer. Sonesta, you have a top notch team here, please don’t ever change!
