Sonesta Select San Francisco Airport Oyster Point Waterfront reviews
15Good enough to rest your head when in desperate need. The lady at the front desk was nice to loan me an outlet plug for my phone cord. There are only outlets in the rooms no usb plugs. The room was gross and the shuttle never came after different people called, we all kept being told different times. We waited 9: 53pm-11: 15pm and no shuttle for this hotel showed up!
For the price I'm paying you'd think breakfast would be included, it's not. The beds are hard and uncomfortable to sleep in. Unless you're very cheap or broke don't stay here. I can't even use my cell service in there. They have some sort of WiFi jammer so that way you're forced to use their garbage WiFi. When checking out thean at the front desk refused to charge the rate we were actually supposed to pay. We booked through Priceline to save a few bucks. We were told they cannot fix the overcharge which is like because all the hotel staff about is money and not customer service. You want to stay at a good hotel? Stay at embassy suites.
We frequent SF, and this is our go to spot for a hotel. Always very clean and evening staff are super nice and accommodating. Clean quiet rooms, you dont even hear airport traffic. Highly recommend.
Room had a strange smell. And the first airport shuttle just raced past the shuttle stop at terminal 3. I had to call twice to get the shuttle.
Rooms stink. Food is way too expensive.
Shuttle service inconsistent at best. Stay away!
If all you need is a clean bed and hot water, this is the place for you. Conveniently located away from all food options this hotel offers nothing on Sunday or Monday, small breakfasts starting at $17, and a 90-minute hotel shuttle wait.
I give them 1 star because the staff is friendly, but this place is taking advantage of every customer knowing that the location prevents customers from alternatives.
The hotel kitchen is closed on Sunday evenings, but you can walk a block to the sister hotel Sonesta Suites. I bought a salad with chicken for $20. It was iceberg lettuce, two cherrie tomatoes, and a quarter piece of avocado. I can get a better salad from McDonald's for half the price. But there aren't other options within walking distance. So, If you're looking to save money on the hotel, you're paying for it in travel and food costs.
There are elevators, but the occupancy limit is 2. So plan to have few suitcases, or making multiple trips.
If you want to go swimming, bring your mold repellant. The fan in the pool room is broken, and the towels haven't been restocked in the 3 days we stayed. You can see the mold growing around the windows and the poor overall upkeep.
Laundry services are available- it's $3USD for the washer, and $3USD for the dryer. The washer doesn't shake enough to spread the soap, and the dryer doesn't get your cloths dry on the first go around. You'd be better off using a bucket and air drying.
There's a nice walking path behind the hotel- it's all through business areas, so nothing to shop or see. But it's a pretty walk around the bay.
The beds are comfortable and clean enough, and the shower is hot. But there is no microwave, no fridge, and the room cups don't come with lids- so if your planning to get coffee to go. Guess what- you have to pay for it.
This place is great for 1-3 people who need somewhere to sleep until their next trip.
The restaurant isn’t working at night (maybe is temporary). The hotel lacks of international electric outlets. The gym is basic but functional. The A/C seems to very kind of old because it sounds a lot. Hotel crew was nice and it was clean.
Hello. Happy holidays! I recently stayed at the Sonesta Select San Francisco Airport Oyster Point Waterfront. I called the front desk staff on Dec 19th at 10 AM to make sure if I booked a reservation from Dec 20th to Dec 21st, I could check in on Dec 21st at 1 AM. After the staff confirmed this, I booked through Expedia at 10: 33 AM San Francisco time. I then called again to let them know I will be arriving late and the staff said they noted me with late arrival. On 21st at 12: 30 AM, I showed up as I said I would and checked in to the hotel. During the entire calling, check in and check out process, the staff did not mention anything about a no show fee. I found out I was charged a no-show fee, which more than doubled my original price, when I looked at my credit card bill. If I called in advance (more than 24h) to let them know I'll be arriving late, I should not get charged this fee. It is impossible to talk to the hotel because they insisted the no show fee could not be refunded. In addition, the bill they sent me was $203 including the no-show fee, however, the charge on my card was $223. Where did the extra $20 come from? This has been one of the most upsetting hotel experiences for me and I wish we could resolve this before Christmas.

First time visiting this hotel. We will go back. Reception was excellent and helpful. Although they have a restaurant, it has limited menu.
The view from the hotel window was gorgeous and the room set up was lovely.
The phone signal sucks in that area, also the bed had other people's hair on it, always examine the bed. When I complained about the signal the staff just looked at me weird. The noise level is horrible in that area from the train to the planes.
The phone in the room no front desk dialing number.
The morning front desk man rude talking. My first worst experience at this hotel.
Was Charged for handicap parking which was far away. Expensive for the quality, 2 star hotel. Didn't change my bed sheets even after requesting it. Pathetic location and elevator.
Close to the airport. Friendly, welcoming staff and service. Clean, beautiful rooms. Food quality is wonderful too.
The service is great but the hotel and rooms could be cleaner, such as more routine vacuuming and removing the marks all over the walls. Overall though, if you are just transiting and need a bed, it's totally fine.
