Sonohealth 3D 4D Ultrasound, San Diego CA

My friend recommended Sonohealth and I am so grateful for the recommendation. I have been going to Sonohealth since Feb 2022 for ovulation/follicular sonograms. David, Sergio and Breana are always so professional, friendly and accommodating. They make a great team and ensure that their patients have the best experience. In addition to the exceptional staff and patient care, the facility is always so clean (and super cozy too). I highly recommend Sonohealth for imaging needs.

Literally the best healthcare experience I've had so far in my pregnancy. Team generously waited for my husband to arrive despite being a few minutes late and causing them to shorten their lunch break slightly. Staff was so friendly, welcoming and warm. Facility is spotless and calming. Would 100% recommend them to anyone.

The positive: the ultrasound tech was nice.
The negative: my birthing center told me they send patients to Sonohealth for the 20 week anatomy scan, so I made an appointment here for the day prior to the midwife appointment since I'd already be 22 weeks by the time the midwife clinic could see me. When I arrived at Sonohealth I was told that I must make a payment today since the referral from the birthing center couldn't be sent until tomorrow. I was told I would be given a receipt and that I could submit the claim to my insurance company myself. I have a high deductible plan and would have been billed 100% of the cost - with the amount paid contributing to my deductible. I did not mind the extra paperwork so I said "that's fine for me to submit it myself. " However I did not understand that insurance companies always refuse claims unless they are submitted by the provider directly. This was explained later by the insurance company and Sonohealth on a 3-way call I initiated to submit the claim. The referral came in the next day, however Sonohealth billing department response it is against their policy to submit claims if they've already been paid. I wish Sonohealth had explained to me that "you can't self-submit an insurance claim because insurance companies don't allow this" rather than telling me "We'll give you a receipt. This works for insurance companies and if they have any questions they can call us. "

My wife and I visited Sonohealth last week, and it was incredible! They converted a home into their office, so the environment was really comforting and not so “hospitally. ” The gentleman at the front desk, David, was really helpful getting us set up and made us feel welcome. The ultrasound tech (sorry I don’t remember her name) was very professional and accomodating to my wife. She captured some really great 4D images of our baby, no argument about whose nose she got!

I highly recommend Sonohealth for all expecting parents, it was really worth the visit!

This was an outstanding experience! The office is adorable, well decorated and classy. The room was peaceful, large and comfortable. The technician was experienced, fun, a great communicator and respectful. She gave good recommendations and quickly respected our decisions. She made the gender reveal moment fun, too! It was a lovely experience!

Such an incredible experience! Impeccably clean space yet also warm and inviting unlike standard ultrasound clinics that feel so cold and sterile. The staff were kind, thorough and informative and everything was timely.

We had such a pleasant experience with Sergio and his team. Scheduling was a breeze, and check-in went smoothly. The facility is so quaint and cute - though be forewarned, no private parking. I didn’t have an issue with street parking.

Sergio was excellent and explained everything clearly. This is our first baby, and we were referred here for our anatomy scan. It went super well, and I was so pleased to receive a video and plenty of pictures for just $20. We would absolutely recommend this clinic!

My experience while at my appointment was great. We very much enjoyed our ultrasound and seeing our baby in 4D. The receptionist and doctor were both very friendly and even provided a few extra pictures for my mom who was in town for the week. The reason I'm not giving 5 stars is because my package was supposed to come with a video. Unfortunately, it seems the video equipment failed during the exam. I only found out because I called the next day about not being able to see our video on the link provided. He said I wasn't the first person to call in about that and he would talk to the doctor and get back to me. Never got a call back so I called a week later asking for an update. That's when I learned about the equipment failure and that they were attempting to recover the files. I was told, again, I would receive a call back. It's been weeks now and I haven't heard a word from them about my file. I'm too far along now to even be able to redo the video if they had even offered. Instead I've just been ignore. It's pretty disappointing to not be able to go back a watch the video that was included in my purchase as well as put a stain on our overall experience with the office.

I've now had four appointments at Sonohealth and so thankful I found them. Not only are their ultrasounds the most affordable I've found anywhere in San Diego county, but they have an easy online booking system, their employees are so kind and friendly and the ultrasound techs are great and really know what they're doing. I also love that they renovated a craftsman home for the office because it doesn't feel sterile and cold like most healthcare facilities. It seems small, but feeling comfortable in a space when you're dealing with health issues really matters.
