Sonoma Hotel reviews
12Located on the square in the middle of Sonoma it is very convenient to restaurants, wine and shopping. Rooms are very small and plainly decorated. Carpets in the hallways and stairs are worn. The mattress in our room was uncomfortable and sunk in making it feel like you were about to roll off. The staff was friendly and helpful.
Very cute historic building and great location to walk to everything. Staff is super friendly and helpful.
Terrible! I felt like we were staying in a hostel. You heard every single guest and every noise. We could hear the guests next to us taking like they were in our room. Didn’t sleep at all. Completely overpriced and a waste of a night away: (
Charming, boutique, historic hotel located right on the Sonoma square! There is much to be said for all this! There are downsides for which you need to be prepared. I stayed a week in Sept. 2022. The hotel is without housekeeping or baggage assistance. If you’re upstairs you need to be able to walk stairs and carry your luggage. While historic, the hotel is in need of some TLC and frankly carpeting should not be historic, which it is. My room was small with a full and twin bed. I was glad I was solo. No in-room coffee, but it was available out front each morning. There is no parking connected to the hotel. You’re on your own with street parking. Unlike some other reviewers I had no issue with a/c, hot water or water volume. All were perfectly fine. The bed and pillows were quite comfortable. While there was noise from the patio of the adjacent restaurant and traffic, sleep sounds on my phone took care of it nicely.
I must say the room was cozy and fair priced for the shear antiquity of the decoration and old world feel. I have a gripe about the room being rented to us during a heat wave with no AC, but life goes on. Farmers market was happening and lots of fun people about. Fun hotel, quiet and peaceful. Don't miss it.
I did not stay here but did enjoy a well made espresso martini made by Fernando the bartender great guy
Fernando makes the best expresso martinis, amazingly smooth. Good conversation and experience
Dinner at the Girl & Fig Restaurant was great. However it's no secret, everyone knows. Make reservations in advance or you might be waiting for a while.
We ate at the Girl and the Fig. Really good food. Nice selections
Friendly helpful staff. CUTE atmosphere OR, sit outside at one of the MANY tables!
Spent the night. No amenities besides running water, a shower and a double bed for two! Tiny rooms. Clanging pipes, thin walls.enjoy your neighbors whatever! No coffee, tea, breakfast, zero. Go elsewhere unless you need the fix for nostalgia.
It's a lovely and very old hotel in the heart of Sonoma city. It is a very old hotel so everything there is tiny and compact. Even though, our stay was very nice. They are connected to the fig and the girl restaurant which has excellent cocktails and very good food. The service was nice. Since we were there during the Covid-19 pandemic we didn't really interact much with the stuff.
Sonoma Hotel is a rare gem in an historic wine country building. Located on the plaza, it's the perfect spot to explore Sonoma and nearby sites. Five stars!
