South Bay Smog Check Test Only Center Inc, San Diego CA

I just had an absolutely terrific experience with the brothers at South Bay! No appointment necessary and the test only took about 10 minutes. They are probably the friendliest business owners you’ll meet in the area and they provide a very quick and pleasant service. There’s no way I’d even consider another smog check company for our next inspection. I highly recommend paying them a visit!

One of the workers is very condescending when confronting him with issues after inspection, if you knew the smog wasn’t gonna pass right from the start why even bother checking everything else? And when I asked you about it you said “unfortunately that’s how businesses are ran” It’s cool tho take my money y’all need it more than me. Definitely won’t recommend this place and won’t be returning.

Gustavo is awesome! He was courteous, efficient and friendly. Explained how the whole system worked and helped me understand parts of my vehicle that I didn't even know was on there for me to know. This is the second time I have used their service and will not be going to anyone else.

I have been coming here for years. This will be the last. I have a newer car and maintain it on a regular basis. Took my car in for a smog check and it failed. My gas cap was opened and caused the failure. I NEVER leave the gas station without checking my cap is closed all the way. I spent all morning trying to figure out why my car failed. An auto zone employee said your gas cap could be failing. I went to check it and it was completely unscrewed. I closed it went back and the car passed. Was charged $50 then another $30 for the retesting. Shady and very disappointed. When I confronted the tech he got mouthy and rushed to get me out of there. Never again after being a loyal 20+ year customer.
