So happy I chose South Bay Vet Clinic. Absolutely, awesome and friendly staff. I highly recommend bringing your baby here for whatever your needs are. Very knowledgeable and more importantly they are animal lovers so you know your baby will be treated with love. Floki is tired but he's home with Dad.

Simple. Go elsewhere.

I had multiple visits to South Bay Veterinary Care, and unfortunately, I can’t recommend their services. They were consistently unprofessional, and their pricing was exorbitant without providing any clear justification. My experiences there were far from positive, and I found their prices to be extravagant.

I’m very pleased with the services of the South Bay Veterinary Care Team! They are very efficient and nice. I entrust the lives of my two rescued dogs to them, namely: Gypsy, the senior pug, and Bristol, the Chiweenie. I recommend them to my family and friends without hesitation.

All personnel were very helpful & friendly. Vet was very patient answering any & all questions I had. I felt like the vet didn't not recommend any "unnecessary" testing or treatments. Very happy with South Bay Veterinary Care.

My 8 years old Chihuahua died during dental cleaning. They were not very kind and sincere. No sympathy at all. I was very sad and disappointed.

Dr. Miyashiro is the best! Both my cats have asthma and because of her excellent care and advice, we are successfully managing their condition. Unlike our previous veterinarian, who would rather give steroid shots right away to my cats whenever they have asthma attacks, Dr. Miyashiro has provided my cats with the safest most effective treatment. She really cares about the safety of our pets and long term health. We are so grateful to have Dr. Miyashiro as our veterinarian. Thank you so much Dr. Miyashiro!

Very kind and accommodating staff and doctor! Was able to get veterinary health certificate on time for my dog's international travel. Instructions were clear and they made sure I have the complete requirements for travelling. It was a smooth process! Will definitely recommend them to my friends and family.

They’ve recently changed management and staff, every one there is very friendly. You can tell they hold all their associates to the same standard. The people working there seem happy and like they are not overworked. Their presentation, professionalism is astonishing. It is still a very affordable vet as well.

I don't often leave reviews but the LACK OF CARE, UNPROFESSIONALISM, and GREED of the doctor led me to write this as a warning to anybody considering taking their beloved pet here.

I took my 2-yr old cat here for 2 bald patches, after paying $450, I still don't know what's going with my cat.

It took around 21 days for the doctor to send me a single sentence email about the test results of my cat. This was after it was discussed that we would hear back from her within a week. Unprofessional.

There was zero communication initiated on the doctors part, when confronted about this, her response was tests take time and it's the responsibility of the owner to check up with the doctor, not the other way around, even after the payment of $450. I have been to other vets and it's always been the opposite. The vet calls the patient to let them know about the test results and the next steps, neither were initiated by the vet. And I was blamed for it.

Even though it was explained to the vet before hand that my cat didn't have fleas, he was still given a topical flea medication "just in case" for $50 as well as an antibiotic injection for $68 without the confirmation of a bacterial infection. These were upsells. Greedy.

The test results that were provided were late by a large margin with no accountability on the doctors side. The problem is that my cats condition could have worsened during the 3 weeks that i was made to wait. Had there been a disclosure from the beginning that the results would take 3 weeks, i would have taken my cat to a different clinic. I was given an optimistic time estimate because again, they just want your money without proper care.

When I made it clear that I was done using the services of this vet office, I had to call more than 3 times to request the official test results be sent over to my email for the new vet clinic to be able to pickup where South Bay Vet Clinic fell short. After the 3rd attempt, I showed up to the clinic to collect the documentation, it was ready to go, just not emailed to me for some reason. Disrespectful and unprofessional.

I spoke to the vet on the phone and she simply doesn't sound like a professional, well-mannered doctor whose first priority is to give your animal the care it deserves.

If you wish to overpay and be treated with disrespect in an unprofessional clinic, take your pet here.

If you wish to have a peace of mind that your pet is in the right hands with thorough communication, and the intent of the doctor isnt to make a buck off of you, take your pet to a different clinic.

You will notice similar complaints about this place regarding the lack of transparency & communication, predatory pricing, and misdiagnosis.

Thank you for reading.

This has been my vet for 2 of my pets for the last 2 years. Their response time is great and all staff are helpful. I know bc I am totally one of those annoying patients that communicate via phone & email. They have even helped me through text message when my dog was attacked by another dog, although this is not the regular form of communication. Very informative and honest when specialty referrals are needed.
As far as pricing, I can't really speak to that because I haven't sought care from another practice in South Bay. But it is veterinary care, so be prepared to pay and always asking for pricing before hand to lessen the shock at check out.

The people who work here were extremely informative, sympathetic, on time and downright nice. I’d go to them again and again!

Their work is amazing 5 - communication is 2.5-3. I’m pretty stupid so have to have a lot of info broken down to me (especially since I don’t work there so don’t know how process works) but no matter how many times I’ve confirmed info or asked them. I feel like I get the short end of the stick. Today they seemed really irked about me not understanding - which I get. I was bummed the guy handing me my receipt just hands it to me and leaves. No hi, no explanation, nothing.

We’ve been to many vets, but we fully trust everyone at South Bay Veterinary Care. The staff there even do rescue work on their off hours and we fully respect and appreciate what they do. We highly recommend taking your furbabies to these experts.

Have taken my pets here multiple times with wonderful service. I will continue to use their services based on the ease of scheduling and even follow up after my pets check-ups.
