South Coast Botanic Garden reviews
5Went mostly to see the Dambo Trolls. This is a large area that was delightful to walk through, with many incredible examples of plants, we saw many varieties of butterflies and spiders, rabbits and squirrels. There are also other large format art pieces placed around the property. We upgraded our tickets to yearly passes so we can go back and spend more time there.
If you are looking for a place where you can walk, and admire an absolutely beautiful botanical garden; look not further. This place is big! There’s an entrance fee. I’m not sure how much you have to pay, I think I took a picture of the prices; if I did I’ll post it alongside my review. My friend has a membership, so she can take guests for free. They’re open at 9am. You can buy an annual membership, the price vary; depending of what kind of membership perks you are looking for. You can take your dog for a walk here, also. But only on the last Sunday of the month. There’s tons of pooches walking on that Sunday. Of course there’s certain areas where they can’t walk, but those areas are clearly marked. The garden usually has very nice exhibits. And that’s something that I love about this place. There’s a good amount of volunteers that are vey helpful if you have a question about the place. There’s a little concession stand by the entrance where you can buy a refreshment or a little gift. The parking lot is right in front of the garden.
Love this place a refuge to enjoy nature.
A bit crowded on the weekends, recommend for a weekday hiking adventure. Quite a bit of construction recently.
Beautiful gardens and great place to spend an afternoon! Very well kept, lots of variety, not too crowded, and a cool interactive part in the garden for kids where you can smell, touch different plants and learn something new!
Beautiful garden! Lots of large succulents/cacti, very impressed. Not very busy on a Monday morning for a nice walk. A lot of locals come to get their steps in. Sculptures made from recycled materials on display. Definitely worth the visit!
