Personable, friendly staff, and a warm environment. All of the staff is very knowledgeable in their respective domain of expertise. My eye tests were administered smoothly and timely and of course my eye exam and consultation with Dr. Quon was superb! As always Dr. Quon is personable and provides information in a manner in which the patient can comprehend. Bob was attentive as always when helping me to select my prescription sunglasses and my prescription eyewear. Bob's in-depth knowledge about eye lens, framing, and specific protections that are needed for prescription eyewear, is always very helpful in making the best selection for the need and the look.

South Coast Optometry is open again! Dr. Quon and his staff provide expert care, expedient service, and patience with my questions. The office is secure as the door is locked to limit the number of clients. With masks and gloves and frequent wipe down of all surfaces, I felt very comfortable and grateful for their care. Here's hoping you will return soon for your appointment!

My family has used Dr. Quon for over 10 years. We drive a considerable distance because he's the best-both he and his staff take better care of us than any other eye doctor we've had. He educates and proactively informs us and takes time to really partner with us for outstanding eye care.

I can’t recommend Dr. Quon and his staff enough. From the first time I visited they have always remembered my name and greeted me when I walked in. They make the process of tedious eye exams more bearable. Dr. Quon is also fantastic. He takes the time to explain everything he’s doing and provides a phenomenal amount of information regarding the health of your eyes.

Amazing doctors, Amazing knowledge and patience, Amazing staff: Dr's Quon and Yoo represent doctors with a great bedside manner and desire to help each patient- one at a time, and make each one feel as they are the practice's only patient.

I've been coming to South Coast Optometry pretty much since their inception a longggggggggggggggg time ago. It may be 20 years. I have a complex eye situation and have worn glasses/contacts since age 3. Recently Dr. Quon diagnosed me with a second cataract and is working with me to get that taken care of. He and Doctor Yoo go out of their way to serve their patients.

All I know is since I found South Coast Optometry my eyes have never been under better care. Dr's Quon and Yoo are connected to the top ophthalmic specialists.

The staff of Sheila, Bob, Rachel, Nikki, Lesley and the past including Yumei and Karen were/are phenomenal in helping coordinate RXs, insurance, eye health protocol and of course new lenses (contacts or eye glasses).

FYI, SCO only carries the latest technology in eyeware and RX scripts. The doctors are constantly staying on top of the latest technologies to manage prolonged vision health.

I can't recommend SCO enough. They get the highest marks from me and the practice's other discriminating patients, across the board! Thanks Dr's Quon and Yoo!

My first time here for an eye exam. Friendly staff checked me in for today. They exceeded my expectations! I got to say everyone’s great. I would rate this more if I could. The doctors are excellent as if we met before. Recommend for anyone for eye check-ups!

Overcharged me! Poor customer service! 10 visits to get fitted for contacts & still don't have the right pair.finally gave up.

First I'll with saying that Dr. Quonset is an excellent doctor! He is knowledgeable, thorough, and patient he spent time with me explaining my eye condition and the cause, which helped me to want to take better care of my entire body as a whole. I rated my visit (I've been a patient here for over 6 years) because the front office staff were terrible (e.g, unfriendly, lacked compassion, didn't explain how to use the products I purchased) I didn't even purchase new glasses because I felt rushed and the rude older lady didn't want to service me. It was the worst experience in the years I've been there, and to top it off I live 76 miles away, but I will not be back due to the terrible treatment from the desk staff. By the way, the desk staff are the ones who do the eye tests and are supposed to help the patient with their eye ware. Lastly. I had to view You Tube videos to see how to use the three eye products that the doctor recommended. I will not return to S. Coast again.

2.5 hours for an eye exam, contacts, and lenses (no frames.)

My appt was at 5 pm and I didn’t walk out until 7: 30 pm. FYI, the office closes at 7 pm.
Dr. Quan talked so much that by the time I made it to his assistants, they had to rush me out. All I got was a few contacts (didn’t place an order) and the blue light lenses, which all I had to do was turn in my frames.
They didn’t offer any other options for my lenses since they were trying to get me out ASAP. I’m so unhappy with the results! Every where I look, there’s a blue glare on my lenses.

I only switched from Insight Vision Center because I saw South Coast Optometry had a wider selection of frames, which I didn’t even get.

I still stand by the Optometrist Dr Quon is Amazing and highly knowledgeable but at what cost.

I had my tests, new frames, progressive lenses, scratch resistant and anti-blue, computer glasses essentially. They quoted me close to $1,500 and I paid $794 minus my insurance. It sounded like a good deal; the problem is the progressive lenses made them impossible to use so I basically paid $794 for worthless computer glasses.

I was notified by the South Coast Optometry text system to come in for my next checkup. My friend said I paid way too much for my computer glasses prescription, so I went to a new place.

I was shocked to find out my new eye test and having my lenses updated with everything they did minus the progressive for $95 with my insurance.
How did we go from $1,500 to $794 to $95, I know my frames were $323 but they said my insurance paid for half of it? So, let’s say my Frames are $161, my exam is $150 which insurance was supposed to cover it, and at most the progressive lenses, scratch resistant and anti-blue were $300 these are already crazy prices but lest say it is a South Coast premium retail price.

So in reality it was $323 for lenses, $150 for exam, and $300 for lenses and they charged me for some eye drops and miscellaneous stuff about another $100, this comes to $873 these are closer to realistic prices not $1,500 so if we say $873 is the total and insurance covers 50% per based on what they told me the real price should have been around $436, Need I say more?

I visited for the first time on the 5th, just a couple weeks ago for both a contact and glasses exam. The staff was very professional; Dr Quon is amazing! He took the time to explain everything to me, including the fact that my previous prescription (both in contacts and glasses) was 3x more power that I needed and why my eyes were so dry. Sheila is the best! She not only ordered trial contacts once but multiple times to ensure comfort and fit! South Coast Optometrist is the best! Highly recommended!

Everyone was so friendly and patient with me! Had a huge variety of designer frames. They were very accommodating to my needs!

I think I found my new optometrist. The staff was great and they have a nice selection of affordable glasses.

I received an excellent attention and eye examination from Dr. Quan and Staff. I'm confident to return again. I like the glass frames selection.
