South Coast Plaza reviews
15Love coming here with my son. It's always pleasant and relaxing. The atmosphere is amazing. They have a huge selection of stores, and the place is massive. There is so much to do and see there. Very clean, organized, and upscale.
An outstanding mall offering a plethora of activities and shopping options! The cleanliness and ambiance are truly remarkable.
I love this mall to go buy. Too many different retails, brand’s, price and it’s always clean all the places. I recommend if you are around this area.
Very nice indoor mall. Tons of stores I've never heard of before. Super clean and lively.
Yikes! Almost feels like walking through a museum. Lots of window shopping and less buying, short of taking out a second mortgage. The number of designer stores is mind-blowing. For sure, it's not (no longer, and hasn't been for a long time) your typical mall with stores that you'd actually visit and buy from and afford in most cases. Tell you what, unless you're dressed on your Sunday best, don't expect a second look from the snob employees in these stores. I CAN afford many items from many stores, but I was not dressed in my Sunday best, and I was not taken seriously at many of these stores. At one store, someone else came in, and the seagulls circled around the guy. Yeah, that told me everything I needed to know about that store and the other stores I visited or outright skipped. Unless I return to visit Allen Edmonds to drop off shoes (yes, I own several pairs), I really would not return to this mall. Not worth my business if I'm being judged simply by the way I dress.
This is one of the best malls around. Very clean and spacious. I love coming here to shop. I feel really safe as well, especially with everything going on.
One of the great malls in the US. There is everything you could possibly want from the top designers, every major watch & jeweler, outstanding restaurants and much more.
I used to enjoy going to South Coast Plaza, but a recent visit changed everything for me. I've often seen dogs in the mall, walking around freely, and no one seemed to mind. But when I brought my cats in their backpacks, security quickly approached me.
The irony was clear: as they told me "no animals allowed in the mall", a dog strolled by right then, and they didn't say a word to its owner. It felt like they were picking on me because of how I looked or because they thought I didn't have money. This experience left a bad taste in my mouth.
I've decided not to go back to South Coast Plaza after that day. If you feel like you might be judged for not looking wealthy, be cautious. It seems the mall has a bias against certain people. I hope South Coast Plaza realizes this and makes changes.
It’s your average high end mall where you can do your window shopping here. But I personally wouldn’t buy anything because everything is so expensive. This place is more for tourists than locals. Bathroom is crowded and hard to find.
South Coast Plaza has got to be one of the worst malls in America! Some of their security are absolute IDIOTS. They claim that pets are NOT allowed in the mall. Sorry but disabled people ARE allowed to bring in their service pets by FEDERAL law. Their security people can harass all they want, but FEDERAL law stipulates that any person bringing in a service animal is REQUIRED federal law, despite all the complaining they want. I have to bring a service dog for my wife who has several disabilities. Also, the stores in South Coast Plaza have absolutely NO appeal for men whatsoever, and the mall literally smells like BLEACH from all the chlorine they put in their waterfonts, which literally made me and my family as well as dozens of other people get quite dizzy and gave me a migraine headache afterwards. Not to mention, the abandoned Sears store at South Coast Plaza is literally a breeding ground for the homeless population in Costa Mesa. My family has NO desire to ever revisit South Coast Plaza after the way we were treated, from their idiotic security personnel to the constant smell of bleach throughout the mall. That's why my family prefers shopping at the Fashion Island Mall, the Moreno Valley Mall, the Irvine Spectrum, and the Del Amo Mall over the South Coast Plaza because the people are far friendlier there. Outdated "malls" like South Coast Plaza that are too rude to customers will inevitably be shut down in the years to come because of their idiotic practices.
The environment is good, the price is reasonable, the parking is convenient, and the service is friendly.
A huge shopping mall in Santa Ana. There are multiple department stores and luxury brands, and many are satisfied.
Lots of shops, tables for reading and working on laptop. So many shops and lots of fun walking
