South Shores Park, San Diego CA

Great place for a Jog. Others use it for biking, walking and even skating. Nice trail for skating, biking and jogging that stretches a good 3 miles maybe more. Close to sea world

Only 2 firepits. There's picnic tables under a gazebo not ideally a place to have parties, or family gatherings. It's a long walk from parking lot to firepit n picnic tables.

They have bathrooms, sinks, wash off areas. A boat ramp (that the sign says) "24 hrs".
Cool trails to walk ur dog on. Pretty water.
Giant parking lot.
And an rv dump station, which i believe is the only public access one in the area.

South shores ramp is a nice alternative to Dana landing. Dana has been taken over buy charter boat owners that cannot afford to have their own slip to professionally work out of. These freeloading owners arrive very early or camp all night at the dock and leave very little room for those of us who just want to launch and get going. There should be a time limit at the dock and this time limit enforced. Go to south shores and save yourself some agony. It takes about 10min.longer to the bait reciever from South Shores rather than Dana.

Great area to stroll around with your kids. The walkway is wide and well cared for. Local plants on the area are a good past time onto themselves, watch desert blooms that are rare outside of remote areas. Excellent place for catching Sea World's fireworks shows. Lots of parties and gatherings happened alongside the coastline. Good dog play areas. Wish the loud music on the beaches wasn't that strong but have to allow the youth to decompress.

Here every day, we live van-life and hang out here during the day on our days off work. Daytime use only; it's a quiet and pretty place to watch the water. Free rv/boat dump and fill station that rarely has a line. It's pretty, clean and safe; we've never had any problems with anyone. Can't smoke cigarettes, work on your vehicle, or have your dog out at certain times (the times change throughout the year for the dog), or the park ranger will be stopping to correct your doings, lol.

I love South Shores Park. Amazing property with gorgeous views. Perfect for learning how to ride a bicycle. Not crowded at all.

This is a boat launch area and the 250 space parking lot is for vehicles with boat trailers ONLY. We thought it was a free place to park our RV and found out the hard way.got several tickets.some for $112! They will ticket you endlessly if you live in your RV there.day and night tickets for violation of signs.

Has a dump station and trash bins for rv/campers. There's a boat ramp here as well. Posted no overnight parking, but, people do w/o citations.

I ride my bike on the nice smooth cement path for 2 reasons

1) ive almost crashed into pedestrians on the adjacent *dedicated* bike path there, so clearly rules dont matter and this way I get some visibility

2) i do crime as a hobby, not a job so this is perfect for my lifestyle

Awesome place to take your family or even maybe your dog or just yourself. Lots of open space for a barbecue and much more

One detail to note is that they do not allow dogs there, even on a leash, anywhere-if they come with you they got to stay in your vehicle
