This cute little place situated in a corner of a building in downtown Los Gatos has some mouth watering breakfast and lunch menu. On a Sunday afternoon, the wait was quite long but was well worth the tasty and delicious signature shrimp & grits and the Santa Fe Scramble we ordered with the outdoor seating. The corn bread was very tasty. The ice tea was a good accompaniment. Our waitress Debbie fondly addressed by the kitchen staff as “Mama”, was very friendly and took care of us well. Highly recommended.

Poor service & the food gave both myself and my brunch companion THE RUNS. Wont be returning.

Was told there was an atleast 30 minute wait. Walked away with my friend. They called back within 4 minutes and gave away our table because we werent standing right there willing to wait for half an hour. (I wouldnt hate this as much were it not for the fact that they called another group on the waiting list and waited so long for them to show up without giving up their table, that another couple asked why they couldnt take that seat if the previous people called werent there yet.)
Finally got reseated, waitress came by and asked us if we wanted anything to drink then immediately said ill grab you some waters, before we could order drinks. Finally takes our orders and we are waiting for about half an hour just for 2 benedicts.
Another table of 5 however that was sat down well after us, got their food pretty much immediately after they ordered. They also ordered the same food we did so dont know why ours took 2x as long.
The Grits were runny, waters and bland (the cook or whoever made the recipe must not be Southern).
The hollandaise sauce was almost clear, so dont know who is cooking but they dont know how to make it.
Eggs seemed boiled not poached.
Irish coffee must have used old coffee because it was bitter as well.
But the country fried potatoes were good so 1 plus for that. But seems like certain people were treated better than we were so i wont be patronizing this place again.

I have been coming here for a couple years now and loved the blueberry pancakes. The last couple of times I've eaten breakfast here, though, I've noticed a decline in food quality and service. This last time was bad enough for me to write a review and never come back. I found a piece of unidentified meat (and chocolate chips) cooked into my blueberry pancakes.

I noticed something was off in the pancakes, but I assumed I was imagining it. First it was tasting chocolate chips and then I spit out a bite that tasted intensely of curry powder. I found a piece of yellow/orange meat cooked into the pancake. I called over the waitress and she explained that all of the food is cooked on the same griddle. She offered to bring me out fresh pancakes, but I declined because I felt queasy from a mouth full of unidentified meat. They still charged me full price - $20 = $17 for the pancake sandwich & $3 upcharge for blueberries in the pancakes.

I am beyond grossed out. The response was not reassuring that this won't happen again or to other customers. I still don't know what the meat was and still can't get the taste out of my mouth. I truly hope the meat was fully cooked and that I don't get sick.

Wonderful place for breakfast, with a country flavor! Good variety of plates including the Brioche French Toast and Tropical Pancakes.
Best of all was the AMAZING and Friendly staff working there. We appreciate you and will definitely be back.

If you want to GET SICK, come here. They serve you moldy food!

I came here with my friend for breakfast. They served me the GREEN MOLDY TOASTS. I didn’t notice the moldy spots until I had taken some bites of it. I showed the server the moldy thing, he apologized for it and canceled the cost for the food, but he still charged me for the cup of latte I had. Couple of hours later I started to feel the stomach cramping and had nausea. I had to see Dr right away. It was gastritis caused by eating the wrong thing. I contacted the restaurant manager, she said she was not there and she didn’t see this happen. She said you should have taken the picture of the moldy bread to prove it (well, my friend and the two servers witnessed the whole thing) She hung up rudely before I finished talking. This restaurant used to be my favorite spot for breakfast in town. I had never had issues here before. But recently they changed the ownership and management, I guess everything has changed. You can NOT expect the same thing as before.

So if you come here, I wish you good luck!

1. To be continued.
They responded to my post right away, looks like they still care about the customer service. First of all, I didn’t ask you for thousands of dollars (I don’t know how you come up with this amount?) My medical bill is $680, I suggested you cover this cost. I underwent all the pain and suffering and had to take time off, I didn’t let you compensate for any of this, I said it clearly on the phone. You hung up rudely before I finished talking, I was not able to get your or your attorney’s contact info yet. Now you claim you didn’t receive my bills, I don’t know where I should send the medical bills!
2. To be continued.
They removed the response right after I wrote my “1. To be continued. ” Interesting! It feels like a live stream thing!
3. To be continued.
Now they posted it again. She said they were very friendly towards me (soooo funny!) and she just called this whole thing “inconvenience” (soooo funny, too!) If you come here, you may run into this kind of “inconvenience”, too. And they will say Sorry to you, Bad Luck!

4. To be continued.
I thought that was it, I won’t need to write any more “ To be continued. ” But now they deleted all the responses they wrote here. God knows why! By the way, in her original response, she claimed that I asked for thousands of dollars for compensation. I was very confused. I only suggested her cover the medical bill which is $680 in total. How did she come up with “thousands of dollars” saying? One thing could be that she was basically making up stories, or some other customers have asked her for that amount of compensation and she just mixed up their case with mine. FYI

Food tasted like it was cooked on a griddle that hadn’t been cleaned recently. Items were undercooked and/or missing key ingredients. I regret eating here and recommend others go elsewhere for breakfast - not a good way to start the day: (

We found the place to be okay but left us wanting more. The staff was wonderful and attentive. The food came out in a reasonable amount of time and the restaurant was cozy to sit in.

The food was our biggest concern. Again, it was okay but we paid too much for what we got. My husband had chicken and waffles and the flavor was there but he got one waffle and 2 small drumsticks. The chicken looked almost out of place on the big waffle. It would have been nice to get a side with the chicken and waffles. Maybe a fruit cup or grits.

I got a feature dish which was good but left me wanting more. The potatoes were roasted with peppers and onion which was a nice touch but they seemed slightly undercooked. Some pieces were harder than others.

Overall, we will probably go back at some point but it will not be a place we frequent regularly.

For how tasty my food was it was absolutely not worth the price and it DEFINITELY wasn't worth the terrible service. The only server in the restaurant was short and annoyed about closing in the next hour. Told the elderly couple next to me that if they wanted coffee she would have to brew a new pot like it was a nuisance. Debbie has clearly been at it too long and should probably move on if this business wants to succeed.wont be back

My food was delicious and the staff was friendly. I feel like this place used to be a little bit better than it was during my most recent visit but it was still good. Could use more fixins and bigger portions for the price.
