I'm a small contractor. I dont do a lot of windows, screens etc. However, I have used Southgate in the past and found them very easy to work with and they do awesome work. However, my last encounter was less than the worst job I've had. I brought them a job worth approx 1500.00 in screens. I had an Angie client who wanted negotiate price on a screen install when Angie provided a description that was completely inaccurate with respect to the actual scope of work.needless to say the margins were slim. I asked Southgate about a commission on the sale. I stead of supporting me the repeat customer, the contractor, they took it upon themselves to negotiate a cheaper price with MY customer in anticipation of getting the remainder of the large order. They then proceeded to lie about their choices and then when caught in the lie they choose to justify their actions. At this point I will NEVER step foot into a Southgate glass, I will NEVER recommend them to another customer. To me when a supplier side steps a contractor that shows a complete disrespect for the contractor and the process.

Have used Southgate Glass multiple times through the years. In the past, as a repair contractor, I found them available and capable of solving the needs of my customers, from hung windows, Sliding glass doors, you name it. They had the parts and the glass for the repairs "When I needed them"

They explained the process from the beginning. They were quick. They also very positive! Pleasant employees.
