SPA LA reviews
17My mom loved her lavender smooth treatment but this was not handicap prepared even with her nurse, but overall nice place.
$150 for scrub and massage with lavender oil - walked out of massage after five minutes.
The only reason this place has all these reviews: they are doing what is completely unethical! They ask people to write good reviews and enter a competition to win $100.
I have been going to Korean spas for over 25 years. I have been to all of them in LA Koreatown and Torrance and the Valley. This place is the worst.
I have never written a negative review for Korean spas. Here is one.
The Massage:
Walked out after 5 minutes of massage - absolutely nothing resembling a massage - no kneading, no pressure or holding. She just splatter some cheap oil and kept rubbing. Lavender has a strong scent. There was not even a trace of that smell in that oil - complete rip-off
The Scrub:
I can do rough scrubs. I've been doing them for over 25 years
This scrub mitt was horrible it just felt like it was just tearing my skin, which it did. She was so inconsistence, she kept scrubbing the back of my hand till the skin was getting cut. I had to ask her to stop.
Also, the room was freezing, as my bed was right along the path of an open door draft. I kept asking for towel or warm water. She just ignored and finally went and closed the door. By that time, I was freezing.
Steam Room was not working:
When the steam room, which is an essential part of the spa experience, is not working, a legitimate business informs the client.or have a clear sign indicating that, before the client pays and the client can make a choice.
Also, there was no cold plung- essential part of Korean Spa experience!
Cleaning Maintenance:
There was not even one person who was doing any cleaning.
Hygiene:
There were multiple signs and a big poster of etiquette rules for no kind of clothing. Even a swimsuit is not allowed in the tubs.
There was a young girl fully clothed in the tubs, and nobody was around to enforce the rule, and it was kind of gross.
Products:
There are signs saying all their products are organic blah, blah. But we had no idea what brand they were, unlike other spas thar clearly indicate their brands.
I'm so surprised this place has good reviews. It's 1) way too expensive for what it is $175+ 2) you don't even get your own room therefore you're in this naked wet room, for even a facial, with tons of other women 3) the products are not gentle, they really broke me out completely
Not professional customer service specially Mark was disappointed personal. He is just a bad person for this Spa
Amazing. And 40 dollar general admission Monday-Friday. Idk why they don’t have that listed on the website but I called and asked. I’ve had several scrubs but even just doing general admission was worth it this last time.
New experience, and a great one. Everything was clean, cleaning staff was nice and helpful and loved how you can just relax. It was not packed either. Loved all the different types of rooms! Most def will go back!
Beautiful place with a big variety of pools and rooms. Reasonable prices.
My masseur Tina did the best Shiatsu massage! Highly recommended!
I had a wonderful experience, great customer service. I felt so relaxed, calmed, my skin was so smooth, i highly recommend it.
One of my favorite spas only because it's very cozy. It's not a lot of people. And they offer everything you need from body scrubs to massages to facials.
I absolutely adore this space! Its super clean, cosy and provides such a sweet healing sanctuary for ladies day to relax and heal
Korean style spa. La! It is clean and big. The parking lot is big and nice. The best of spa is the nail shop on the first floor She has a lot of experience and needs a reservation as a professional, but I recommend her to have a high level.
I miss the Ice bucket. Which was a Big part of my spa routine there. But overall a nice place to relax.
Great clean spa with ample space. This Korean spa is women’s only. I like the fact you can book treatments online. The scrub and massage lasted the full 90 minutes, which it often does not at other spas.
I was fairly disappointed. The wet room treatment I got was not what I wanted and I was cold!
First time experiencing a spa like this today. So many beautiful rooms with different amenities, and my facial by Monica was amazing. Will definitely be back!
Bad experience from start to finish. Came in for a massage with a friend at 2: 30 yesterday. Waited about 45 minutes and kept getting told someone is coming. Ended up getting a refund and when the cashier processed a “refund” she actually charged me for the service again. Did realize until I got a notification from my bank so I called them and the female on the phone was very rude and condescending. If you are looking for a comparable spa I recommend Wi Spa not too far away. Always had pleasant experiences there and it’s a bit bigger.
The steam room was broken and they didnt let me know before hand. Had I known I would have went to a different K-Spa. There are several in the area I probably will try a different place next time I’m in LA. I did like the blow dryer that was available and it wasn’t crowed. I always have issues with the parking validation ticket I think it’s only valid for 2 hours. I’ve had better scrubs but I’ve also had worse not worth $115 (that includes the entrance fee) the steam room was broken and all that was offered was a face mask that’s probably worth $5. I know they tried to make best of the situation so I still left a generous tip.
