Specialty Eyecare

Called and told the office I needed an appointment for an eye exam for a prescription for glasses and contacts. The specialist was assigned to me through the insurance provider and I gave them the authorization number. I was then given an 11 AM appointment about a month out. Around a week before the appointment date, I got a phone call from the office saying they needed to change my appointment time to 8: 15 AM. I arrived promptly and offered my authorizarion sheet from the insurance company and was told they already had it on file. When I was called, I was asked what I was there for and told them I was there to get an exam and prescription for glasses and contacts. I was then told that they didn't do that there. Which is confusing because there are cases of frames in the front. Never heard of an optometrist that didn't do exams for glasses and contacts. Very mismanaged and by the prior reviews, it is a pattern. Avoid this place at all costs.

Unprofessional staff. They charged me twice for report of vision examination with no receipt. Also when I asked for the eyeglasses prescription after I had my eye exam there they said that "We don't do eyeglasses prescription here. " I was like what should an optometry clinic do then.
Be careful of that clinic.

Very disorganized office. I asked for my eye exam to be sent to my primary Doctor and had to call 3 times before I was told it was sent, It was never received, I had to ask the primary nurse to call in order to get this report sent. This was so frustrating!

Incompetent doctor hartoun hovanesian and nasty front office.do yourself a favor and seek medical attention elsewhere before anything bad happens to your eyes

The worst clinic And The most old and not updated machine, they do not have high tech technology in the picture show how old is their machine is turning eve yellow the plastic. One 20 year old was using a gun to measure the pressure of my eyes, and another personal was waiting for him to finish using it to use it with out cleaning in another paciente.
I wait 2 month for and apointment and they call a day prior to my apointment to move it at 8: 30 of course I say yes, I need the eye exam.

The worst office ever! No way to get an appointment! Waiting for that 2.5 month and rescheduled for another month 3 hours prior appointment! Horibble!

Went to get my eye checked and get prescription for my glasses, after I received the glasses from Costco. I couldn't see- my vision was perfect without the glasses. When I blame Costco I went to check and compare my records. I found Costco was correct -Sorry Costco- they give me a wrong prescription.
Then I asked my wife to get the address by Google, she wondered why you go to this place. It's 1.5 star.
I will not mention the Dr.and her sister working on the front desk. They had enough of bad reviews.

I'd give a zero if I could. Haven't even gotten there yet but no one answers the phone. Holding up to an hour at a time. Who runs a business this way? Their reviews are all pretty bad. I guess they don't care

Never ever go to this place, they will take out your eye instead of treating. Absolutely zero knowledge.

Hardly had any wait, the receptionist was kind of rude but the doctor was nice and treated me well and I had a good examination. (Edited because of voice recognition software)

Called both the Sherman Oaks and Glendale locs. Waited over 15 minutes for each on a Tuesday at 3pm. Wanted to change appt. So if I don't show up tomorrow, is it still my fault. I tried.

The worst place! The doctors and workers at the desk and on the phone don't have respect for clients They were rude. Treat people like cattle! But the doc's rake in the dough from insurance companies. That's what they do care about.

My father had an eye surgery done here for glaucoma he is over 90 years old, he went alone to this appointment, the risks of this procedure were not explained to him, he was so desperate for a solution to his eye pressure issue he trusted this dr and agreed to having the lasik procedure done, instead he lost total eye sight and when confronted the Dr, this man turned aggressive and stormed out of the exam room, please beware of this facility.

I spoke with the manager, Lucy, on the phone. The worst encounter ever. She was so rude, with very bad attitude. Before wrapping up my conversation, she hung up on me. Wish they didn’t treat their patients in the same manner.
