If you are looking for a dive boat to take a nice day long diving excursion into the waters around California’s Channel Islands then I highly suggest going with the Spectre Dive Boat. The crew and facilities are top notch. Your every need or want is taken care of from entry to exit of your dive to the awesome bbq lunch that is included in your price of the trip.
For the small price they charge you get, a lunch, free air feels, and three awesome dive sites. The dive briefings are some of the best detailed and accurate briefings I’ve been involved in.
I could go on and on about the excellent job all of the crew did. I highly recommend you go with the Spectre when choosing a dive boat.

I’ve dove all over the world and they’re professionalism, emphasis on safety, and amenities make for a great dive trip. Friendly, helpful and knowledgeable crew. Captian Nate finds the best dive sites. Food is good. Safety is the first priority. Boat is kept very clean.

ALWAYS a great day on the Spectre. Saw dolphins on our way to the dive site, amazing food and staff. The diving is the best; gorgeous lush thick kelp forests, nudis, giants sea hares, mermaid purses, Garibaldi, kelp fish, reef fish, amazing corrals. Cannot wait to go again.

This was my third trip on Spectre. Crew are fantastic and highly knowledgeable regarding safety and dive sites. Food is great too!

Went Scuba Diving in the Channel Islands for the first time yesterday with Spectre and loved it! Explored 3 sites (two at Santa Cruz Island and one at Anacapa). Zipper on my rental wet suit broke just before the 3rd dive and the captain was able to repair it using zip ties! Glad I brought a dive light so I could see a bunch of California Spiny Lobsters hiding under rocks! Plus a handful of Garibaldis, Sheep heads, and lots and lots of kelp! Definitely top-3 Diving Experience of my life! Boat also provided us with warm breakfast sandwiches, Tri tip / BBQ Chicken after the second dive, and warm brownies + ice cream at the end! My only complaint was I had to burp into my regulator 4 times on the third dive. I blame that on the food being too good they also sold merch on the boat so I got a shirt and stickers! Thank you Spectre, Dive Master Matt, Captain Nate, Orion, and co! Will Bohn shall return!

Always a pleasure to be on the Spectre. Great crew and captain. Only negative were the relentless flies in the air around Anacapa - nothing anyone could do anything about. There were a large number of snorkelers aboard but the crew did a great job of keeping everyone sorted and out of each others' way.

I always have a great day of diving with the Spectre Boat. Start the day off right with a coffee and a bacon sandwich on board! The crew are always friendly and helpful. There's plenty of space on the boat to relax between diving. The captain will always drop you in the best spots for diving while the crew top off your tanks and feed you.

Had an incredible experience with Spectre going out to Anacapa Island. Captain and crew are great people, professional and know what theyre doing and all around great people. Captain and crew are a great time and highly knowledgeable. They will take you to some of the coolest places this planet has to offer.

Not to mention, the moment you step aboard, you won’t lift a finger. Breakfast and lunch are exquisite plus a beer after the dive is exactly what anyone could want.

We did 3 days of diving and had a lovely time. I had an hose fail and the crew had a replacement hose on board and had my gear fixed in 15 minutes which was great service. Across the 3 days of diving we saw numerous sea lions, horn sharks, bat rays, and Black Sea bass. Great diving!

We definitely will be diving with this boat again. The crew was helpful, organized, and super competent. The sites were amazing. The hot tub was great for my daughter who got cold after the second dive. The food was basic, which is just what we needed. Thank you crew for a great experience.

Always a great day out on the with the Spectre and her crew. They put on us great dive sites, food is always great, and brownies after the last dive. Great fun.

Bad seamanship. Spectre would not yield on fully declared sailboat entering slip from main channel. We were forced to reverse in main channel hard, bearing down on 2 rental kayaks.
Disaster was narrowly averted.
Spectre should be avoided as Captain does not follow rules of navigation and easily could have killed people today.
Shame on Spectre
