Spin Records reviews
14When I travel Iovr to hit up a LRS and this one had too many beautiful choices to pick from! Would love and return to spend hours here! My friends Tim and Tracy introduced me to one of their favorite places and it's a gem!
A chill place to find pieces of the past. Cheap and neatly organized alphabetically. You can even post your name on a board to find past band mates. The perfect haven for audiophiles and those with good music taste.
Something for everyone! Great selection of records, CDs, apparel, and general music collectibles.
Cute little record shop.they have a wide selection (rock, metal, rap, etc). They have vinyls, cds, casettes, posters, t-shirts, post cards.its always pleasant visiting this place!
Tightly packed rows of great vinyl. And they will special order for you. Great place to get lost.
They make the most of their space! Surprising how much they have for the room. Good staff, easy to find most of what you are looking for.
Whatever vinyl you're looking for, I highly recommend this store. They also have very unusual items. Worth the trip!
I like the selection for older rock/punk A lot of late 70s early 80s punk/alternative offerings. You can find some gems in the Blues and Funk sections. I haven't browsed through the Jazz too much as my dad has a good collection of old Jazz albums, I don't like the classical selection, but I find that other record stores I've looked at are light on classical. It is a better place for buying new prints re-released albums. They have a lot of used albums, but the used are not as well organized and I don't have as much patience sifting through used albums that aren't easily accessible or sorted, but that's just me I'm not a collector I like the ritual of putting an album on and listening to it.
There is a large selection of "new" arrivals (used records) in a rack to sift through and a lot of piles of used records underneath the main racks for hunter/gatherer types.
The staff is friendly, it's a little packed in, but I like having a larger selection vs elbow room. I compared the selection to some other local stores and it seems better, lots of albums that I wouldn't expect to find new and artists that aren't easy to find or under represented elsewhere.
I picked up a Jazz vinyl, which was the original issue in 1950s. Worth for vinyl collector to check that out.
Large selection of new and used CDs, LPs, Your basic long time local "record store" where you can browse through a wide variety of musical genres and selections well organized.
Katie is awesome, I called to see if they had a vinyl I've been looking for in stock. She said they didn't but she would call me if it came in. She was so kind, and when it came in, she called me, we are super excited to have found this great shop! Great communication, great prices, and clearly great stock
Accessibility: there is a ramp to get up to the store but once you are there, it is not wheelchair accessible Inside at all. The store isles are so thin I barely fit through walking. I had to pass by another person at one point and my body literally touched theirs because we could not fit through without touching. No way a wheelchair would make it through here. I am an ambulatory wheelchair user so I know. It is also very loud inside with the music turned up high, so if you need a more quiet environment, bring ear plugs.
Masks: some of the employees wear masks and some don't. Most guests now are not wearing masks, but I have seen some wear them (as of 4-10-22).
Experience: one of the records I bought here skips on the two record players I have so I called the store and let them know. A really nice woman answered and told me I can come return it for store credit or they can order me a new one! Wow, fantastic service! This is what makes a record store great. When I came in to talk with them about this record, a woman named Sara was incredibly helpful and kind. Thanks so much! I really appreciate this. I will definitely be back to support a business that is nice to their customers.
I've been to a few North County record stores and in my opinion, this place is the best. They have a great selection, they have awesome customer service and the prices are competitive. Will definitely return to this place for my music needs.
Great selection, great vibe, and also many opportunities for unique colored vinyls! When you go over to the counter the staff inspect the record and handle it with great care. Couldn't ask for anything more! Prices are ~$20 for most things which is also expectable at this point in time.
