So very bad. Delays after delays after delays. 4 1/2 flight took nearly 9 hours. System is teetering on collapse at all time. It may be cheap, but you are definitely getting what you paid for. Avoid!

Why aren't negative stars an option? !? Sure, you may be tempted by Spirit's lower costs. I know I was. If you value your time, don't make the same mistake I have. Here I sit in San Jose airport for a 730 flight to meet family from the UK in Vegas for just 40 hours. I'm counting on my flight. NOPE! Spirit seems to be consistent in nothing other than delays, cancelled flights and bad customer service.

We entered the queue to check a bag after already checking in online. We were immediately stopped by a rude staff member who said "Use the kiosk to check in" and wouldn't accept anything else or allow us to approach baggage check in. Suprise! We used the kiosk and were already checked in. Then, at the desk were nonchalantly told there was a 3.25 hour delay. Because, you know, an airline can pack you in like a sardine, charge for basic human life support like water, and God forbid you want to wear clothes on your trip and have the nerve to (gasp!) have luggage! But if you raise a single eyebrow of disapproval of a 3.25 hour delay.whelp, no accountability here and if you frown in the wrong direction you may also get booted off the plane! Do the math for yourself. Mine is that I had to drive an hour to get to San Jose, add parking, the shuttle, the flight delay, and the costs of a book, and oher things to amuse myself for the next 3 hours and I'm back up to the cost of a flight on a real airline. Not to mention when all is said and done I could have drived for less nonsense and about the same time, and at least I'd be moving!

Good people, if you respect yourself, DO NOT FLY WITH SPIRIT AIRLINES. They are akin to an abusive relationship. Big promises, empty words, and a lot of nonsense, some casual gaslighting. Life is too short for this airline. Enough of this, Spirit. Get it together. You are a disappointment to us all, and we deserve better.

We will be putting our money elsewhere until you give your passengers the respect they deserve. #whathappenedtocustomerservice? !?

One star is being generous. Flights cancelled and delayed for no reasons every time. They are not helpful and don’t care. They give no other options to get you home. The money you save isn’t worth the wait.

The worse experience to flight with this Airline, on a flight to Los Angeles due to bad conditions they left us in San Diego and did not take care of anyone.

Nobody was at the desk. Long lines of people waiting to get into their flight that was leaving in <2 hours.

If you travel with luggage at all, just book with a real airline. Bags that weigh over 40lbs by even a little bit, regardless of size, will cost a ton more money.

I'll let them keep one star since the plane didn't crash. Customer service is bad. I purchased a flight. The flight was cancelled. I wasn't offered a refund so I booked another flight. That flight was cancelled too so I wanted my money back. I tried to reach them through WhatsApp which they push you to use. After messaging back and forth for a while they said they couldn't help. They said to try email. I sent several emails over a week but no response. I called in and waited on hold for 45min. They eventually gave me a refund for the second flight but refused to refund the original amount I paid. I don't want to fly with them again. I can't plan around the flight cancellations. So I'm adding to their large collection of negative reviews.

We booked with Spirit a couple of weeks ago. Spirit cancelled our out going flight and said the next flight out isn't until 3 days later. I tried calling them several times and kept getting disconnected as soon as they transferred me to a supervisor. I wrote a long complaint to their help support link and am still waiting to hear back. It's been over two weeks. I don't think I'll ever book with Spirit airlines again.
