Splish Splash Laundromat, Castro Valley CA

Well since the laundromat closer to BART was closing early and its owner yelled at me without explaining why, just yelling like I would know his random self owned that place, I walked here. While it's dingey, by apartments that look rank with black mold and the soda machine hasn't worked in 20 years by the look of it, I was pleasantly surprised.

The quarter machine had signs saying to bring your own and be careful feeding it bills, but worked awesome. Detergent was only 75 cents. Machines worked beautifully, dryers were quick. Overall a great experience minus the look of it. Plus awesome name

Everything works, more or less. Well, except for the soda machine. That hasn't worked in years. There is another CV laundromat where employees get in your way all the time, but Splish Splash doesn't have that problem. That's because I almost never see an employee there. Overall I don't mind, but you might want to wipe down the counter if you decide to fold your clothes there and make sure that you don't drop any clean laundry on the floor. There are three laundromats that I know of in CV and I choose this one, so it gets a thumbs up from me.

There is no phone number or any type of contact info for when these trash machines take your money. I would highly suggest using the other laundromat down the street.

Very difficult to get a parking spot had to wait until one of the residents in the apartment complex moved their car from the laundry mat parking.no wonder I was the only person there.no place to wash your hands.limited number of larger machines.coin-operated so you have to fiddle with tons of change.

Bit small. There's not much large capacity washers, but it would seem that there would be something better than this place.

Not bad.just keep eye out when drying clothes with people inside trying to take your clothes

Please nobody ever go here when I was doing my laundry loading in my clothes and looked to my left on the machine next to me and there was a Cockroach as big as Texas next to me gave me the creeps got my clothes and jetted out of there be careful you don't take them home with you that would really suck.

Great Place, Always Clean & Tidy with big Picture Windows. Parking is a little Cramped " if ", you go there in the evenings or on Holidays when the adjacent Apartment Residents take up a lot of Parking Spaces. Bring some change with You because last time the Machines were empty and Out of Service. A Great Place to wash & Dry Clothes.

Plenty of machines available. Some are out of order for an unusually long time. Ok prices. It does not appear that the space is cleaned on a regular basis - there is a lot of trash and visible grime/dirt.

The place is always clean and quiet. The washers work very well but the dryers are not that great. Dry on medium for dryest dry. High creates a moisture lock for some reason. Somewhat reasonable price.

I was enjoying this place until I had all my laundry stolen on Sunday December 8th 2019. I live so close that it was convenient. I blame myself as well because the truth is I left it unattended for like 15 minutes to use the bathroom. There are no restrooms there. By the time I returned four hours of work and four loads of clean laundry was taken. Although I blame myself to a certain degree it does not give violators permission to take from me and my family.

Do not come here! It’s the nastiest place in the world. None of my clothing got washed at all. Not to mention the place is full of homeless on drugs. Worst laundromat experience of my life. Ewwwwwww

I like this place because there are not many people here and it has a better vibe than the other laundromat in town. However, everytime I come in here something goes wrong with either a washing machine or dryer not working, and so I lose money and time. Also, they run out of change A LOT. The sign says if something doesn't work, to fill out an out of order slip and we will get our money back, but that slip is nowhere to be found. This place has a lot of potential, but lacks care and matenience to make it great. Get your act together guys. There shouldn't be this many problems so frequently.

This is a small laundromat. It’s a small town anyway. All the machines I used worked as they should. The price is okay. Nothing fancy here. Came in at 5.30PM. Not so many people. Came on too late at night may be a bit scary as this place is quite sketchy tho. Strangers minding their own business and wont disturb you (which is good, I think). Will come back here if I was in the area to do laundry.
