I went for the first time today. I live super close by, but had been a little deterred by reviews about the owner/front desk man. I want to first say that he was very nice and I had no issues with him. I called when they opened and asked if they had any availability for a manicure and pedicure. I was told to come in at noon, arrived at 11: 50, and told to come back about 30 minutes later. This was not a problem since I was not in a hurry.
My pedicure was fantastic, i believe the woman's name is Julie. She was thorough and meticulous. I 100% would go back to her. My manicurist I believe was new, maybe named Sabrina (i apologize, I'm awful with names). She didn't soak my nails at all. She used the cuticle solvent and got to work, but it would have been much better had they soaked in water first. Overall, she was nice, but I had to remind her to file my nails as she was about to start polishing them with zero filing. I literally just cut them quickly using a nailclipper the night before, so although they're suuuper duper short (think 5-year-old's hands) they were desperately in need of a quick filing. I've attached pictures to show the quality of her work. Oh. She also got polish on my pants, which she did point out at the end and apologized. Not a big deal, but only cause i don't care about these sweatpants. If i only got a manicure, i would give this place 1 star, but the pedicure was excellent, so I averaged it to 3 stars. Hopefully Sabrina just needs more practice. I will go back and see Julie (?) for a pedi and hopefully mani too in the future.

Love this location! Honestly my favorite nail shop I’ve been to in La. Most nail shops overcharge ridiculously but spoil me nail is reasonable and they do a great job! I always ask for Lina! She is so talented and such a sweet woman!

I got my Gel X nails removed recently after roughly 5-weeks of growth and my nails are absolutely destroyed. The technician used a nail drill on my natural nails even when I told him it was burning. He assured me it was ok and now my nails are worse than paper thin. At first they looked okay, had grown quite long under the extensions, but after removal they look worse than ever before even when I used acrylic, dip, gel in the past. The technician himself was quite nice, and so was the original technician that did them in the first place. However, looking back, it seemed as if it was his first time working with extensions. Everyone kept coming over to tell him, seemingly giving him instructions, and he seemed to be paying close attention to detail. I walked away feeling okay, only before noticing one nail starting to peel after another. They kept trying to talk me into getting gel after the removal but I stuck to keeping it natural and only doing polish. Now I won’t be able to put anything on for quite some time until my new nails grow back. To make things worse, this was my second time in, thinking I could get past the rude front-desk attendant who is one of the most unprofessional people I’ve come across in some time. He is not transparent with price, rushes you out the door (usually while on the phone), and yells at the other employees. The first time I was in, he reprimanded another man in front of the entire salon, making everyone clearly uncomfortable. I usually don’t write reviews but I want to prevent others from ruining their nails at this salon. Just go somewhere else and save your money.

Workers are very rude and I had an appointment scheduled I made over the phone, even paid $20 on Uber, and when I went in for my appointment they said they could not accept me. I feel discriminated. The working and the guy at the front desk kept arguing back and forth too. Very unprofessional

I was a walk in and got sat with KC. She was really fun to talk to and very detail oriented. She took her time with my design and even put her own little flair to it that was a cute addition.

This is my favorite place to get my nails while in DTLA. The pedicure is always amazing and the girls are very professional.

Been here three times every time I have had to 30-45 mins past my scheduled appointment time. And every time when you get there the guy at the desk will say it will be 5 mins, then have you waiting for over a half hour. I walked out this time, if you value your time, or appreciate honesty don’t go here.

Reply: the staff has nothing to do with it, you the person making appointments, over working your staff and lying to people about wait time, is the problem. I walked in and was told to sit down and they will be ready in 5 mins, since the last two times you said the exact thing and I waited 30 mins the first time and 45 the second, I asked if it would truly be 5 mins. Then you went and spoke to the staff and said it would actually be a half hour. The immediate reply was an absolute lie and if I did not ask i would have been waiting over 30 mins. My time, and others is valuable. Simply booking my appointment for 630 would have solved the issue, but it seems you try to overwork the staff and have clients wait to hopefully squeeze in as much money as possible, at the detriment to your customers and staff. One time is okay, two times is questionable three times is a clear pattern.
