Sportsman's Warehouse reviews
20Rudest guns and ammo counter I have ever dealt with. Just plane rude. Had to wait for 30 minutes in line to buy ammo just to deal with someone who was the rudest person I have ever dealt with in a retail environment. They are understaffed and have no business dealing with people the way they do. Don't buy guns and ammo from them. Go somewhere else. The rest of the store is fine.
Sportsman's Warehouse has everything I need. They have a large selection of fishing gear, guns and ammo, good clothing, camping gear, and many other things. I can't recommend this place enough.
I have a VALID firearms safety certificate with visible numbers and written english language on it! They will not except it for what reason I do not know! Therefore I was unlawfully not able to purchase a gun! This place is practicing scam policies and I will be seeking s lawyer!
I waited at the gun counter 3 separate times and 2 of those times the line didn't move for 30 minutes. The 3rd time I showed up when they were first open. The old gentleman saw a friend of his when i was waiting in line and ended up talking to him and helping him for at least 15 minutes. When he finally was available to help me he made it seem like I was a total nuisance when I was asking basic questions. I wont be back
Going in to purchase ammo and a skeet thrower, the people in the ammo section would not even offer to answer any questions or even help me, and when I asked for help no one offered any help and simply walked away like they did not hear me, at first I was not sure, but then again I am a person of color
Great selection of outdoor gear. This is my go to spot for fishing gear. They always have what I need and if they don't customer service is there to help.
Great store Customer service superb and great selection and have it Ll for a Great Great Price will be shopping from now on
This is a hunting, fishing, camping paradise. Rifles, hand guns, ammo, gun safes, holsters (conceal carry) fishing poles, camouflage pants n jackets, hats gloves, archery. Friendly staff.
Great store, but you have to be careful on the identical items that Walmart has for much cheaper.
I went in there yesterday to buy purchase an item and the transaction involved some paperwork and FOCUS, but the guy who was helping me kept talking to another employee about fishing and how good fishing was and he was focused more on the conversation with the other employee than with the important transaction he was carrying out with me. He made a couple of mistakes for not paying attention, and I was ticked off but he finally realized that he needed to finish the transaction with me. Very unprofessional. He looked like a young kid in his late 20s. These guys need to be trained on customer service. I would hate to think he was ignoring me because of the color of my skin, or because I did not look important enough to carry a conversation. But I was making a decent purchase. Next time, I will go to another place like Big 5 or another similar store but NOT that one. Unfortunate.
Took forever to get ammo. Then I waited 30 minutes before finally getting someone to come check me out. And walking toward me he stopped for another customer that just walked up instead of helping me. I just walked out extremely frustrating.
Customer service in guns is terrible. Pretentious dough bags. They tell you they price match then argue about matching the price. Every employee has a different interpretation of the policy two employees and the manager. I called there 800 number and got two more interpretations of their “guaranteed best price” bs. Bring in the valid ad on the identical product and get a fat guy with a beard roll his eyes and tell you he will never match that price even though he isn’t the manager.
I like Sportsman's Warehouse. They have a good selection of product. Even though I've been treated rudely at time's I have to say good employee spearet falls to management and the company as a hole.
Hate this place every shoes on display was all they have n they don't carry any extra in the back like wow really
Dont write reviews, but, thought that if this is read maybe it will help with training. Went to the store in Chico with my girlfriend, had a pretty good selection. I am currently living in Oroville to attend Northwest Lineman College and I'm right next to the feather river where I am hoping to fish for salmon. Was looking for someone to ask for help and advice and found someone who wanted to give me a moral lesson about how it is bad to fish for salmon due to the method of take with drift fishing. I am not looking to snag which I believe is wrong, but, was looking for advice to provide food on my table which the associate would not give. Instead proceeded to lecture me about morals and not how to help me catch fish. Definitely was not very professional or informative to help me.
Office management was so kind and helpful with working with me on returns I appreciate them, thank you Brandy!
For Firearm customers:
Since these new laws have come into effect (7/1/2019), the customer service in the gun department has gone downhill in a big way. Of course I am aware they have no control of the new regulations and are merely "just doing their job, " when enforcing them. THAT WOULD BE FINE. However, because a bunch of other customers (who are not me) have been yelling at the employees or treating them badly over the past two weeks, some of them took their frustrations out on me.
Tim, the employee who helped me, was extremely slow the whole time and not apologetic about it. He was very agitated and annoyed at any questions I had. I had all of the correct information needed to make the purchase. Still, I was treated as if I was one of the rude customers. Also, several other employees were complaining about these types of customers while I was there trying to make the purchase. They were using profanity and visibly showing there anger. It doesn't bother me too much because I'm a guy but it's a family store too. Just seems wrong to me.
I also dont know why it takes them so long to do things. I told Tim I would buy the firearm and showed him the documents within two minutes of meeting with him. I filled out the background info which maybe takes five minutes and then I paid for it which might take two minutes. But I was there for an hour and a half. How is that possible?
I am very reluctant to pick up my firearm when my waiting period is up because I have no idea how I'll be treated. Especially when you spend several hundred dollars on something and you're treated like dirt. There are a few guys behind the gun counter who have literally the best customer service so it's truly shocking how some others can ruin this place of business. THIS WILL BE MY LAST PURCHASE AT THIS STORE.
A good place to shop for ammunition, hunting equipment and camping gear. Also they have a great clothing selection.
Super helpful staff always get you hooked up with what you need. They have had pretty much everything I have ever gone looking for be it hunting, fishing, or anything else.
Very patient with my mother who is insane. Wish they'd turn her away instead of selling her guns though.
