Sportsplex USA Poway reviews
7Very nice ball park. Shady areas but the sitting area has none. Bring an umbrella or EZ up on a hot sunny day.
Look it's 4-4.5 leaning towards higher. Never had an issue parking, entry fee is dumb but I get it and it's redeemable for a discount order ($3). Lights are a bit weak on some fields. Bathrooms are very accessible. Some room to walk your kids around. Decent menu, good beers on tap, some wines and snacks.
Seating is really the star here. You can be up top under a patio cover, with easy access to the inside bar. You can also be behind the catcher. Stands along both bases. Good outfield sides space.
I bring my own stadium seats and chairs, and this is a great place to watch baseball.
When walking up the walk way it's very dangerous due to 2 baseball fields on each side and NO net for protection as you're walking.
Nice place to watch baseball, fields are well kept, plenty of seating and shade, heck you can even get a beer and food!
I am super disappointed in this sports facility. This past Saturday I was coaching a team and I was expected to pay an entrance fee to use the field that was already paid for by my league. I have never experienced this as a coach and to expect coaches to pay the fee is in my opinion, just another way for someone to make money. Coaches do not get paid a lot as it is and usually coach to supplement their other income. I obviously paid the fee because I needed to coach but whoever is in charge of the facility should feel awful.
They called me dumpass at their "restaurant". What a nice customer service.
Update: 1/25/23: After a few more years of coming here it's grew on me. I like the overall group of people still and like how well managed the place is. Haven't had a defaulted game in a while which is an annoyance at some parks.
I like the referees, players, and the overall spirit of the teams that play at this sportsplex for Tuesday adult indoor soccer. With that said I dislike that I have to pay $3 on entry for a drink most people never take up, or don't want. Adds to the costs, but still worth the cost to play if you have a good team. Been playing for 4 seasons so far and having a blast.
