Stores and restaurants close by, located on top of hill. Plenty of parking. Charging station for electric cars available. Free Breakfast. Gym and laundry in the facility. Friendly staff. My only caveat, shower and water flow from the sink is like a dwarf peeing. It takes 30min to shower for a regular person that usually takes 10mins.

I usually don't write reviews on hotels, but the Springhill by Marriott in Escondido was great! Our room wasn't huge, but the layout and furniture was perfect. Whomever designed these rooms did an excellent job based on travelers needs and where to put things. The staff was great and free breakfast wood good too. We will definitely stay here again.

Spoke with the Manager, Devon, regarding our upcoming stay. He was friendly, and congratulated us on our wedding anniversary. Yvette was also nice.

Room was tastefully decorated, and had a good view of the sunset! The only complaint I think anyone would have, is the poor location of the television. This hotel is locked at night, which made us feel safer. The location is on a hill, and there are many places to eat right down from it. Definitely a centralized location for Escondido!

Overall our stay was good. FD checkin was forgettable/lackluster. Hskp staff was friendly, made up for it. Room was great, other than I wish the TV could be seen a little better by the bed. The shower leaked and we had to use a towel to keep the floor dry. The location was awesome, and the property grounds were beautiful. Wish the pool had a hot tub, as I was hoping to relax in it. Thanks for the stay, I would consider coming back to this location again.

We had to stay on a spur of the moment due to water leak in our house. The hotel is clean, room is decent size. It has microwave and small ref. Staff are friendly and they have complimentary breakfast. Nice view of the mountain tops while having breakfast is nice. They have a pool and bar in the lobby. Conveniently located near restaurants and stores. Freeway is nearby too.

The place is beautiful I'm here on business. It has a workspace like I have never seen that is very handy and adapters for all USB types are everywhere. They checked me in in 4 minutes. Great place.as far as location the only thing that would make it better is if it were actually on the beach

I loved the location, atmosphere & hotel room. I would give five Stars if it wasn't for the poor interactions. At check-in the front desk lady didn't welcome us, wasn't smiling, did not have a name tag on, and didn't mention any amenities (pool/fitness center hours of operations, breakfast, ect.). Just didn't seem welcoming. The next poor interaction was on both Saturday / Sunday during complimentary breakfast b/c housekeeping was getting their food. Housekeeper told my husband to "Go Ahead" like she was trying to rush him & he responded "I'm waiting" b/c he was waiting in line behind another party. This rubbed me the wrong way, I feel like Housekeeping should be eating breakfast in the back of the house or in a break room.

Staff is always nice, had a few issues but they mostly resolved them. Elevator is a nightmare, there is only one working, it’s been this way for a few months.

Treadmills need to be serviced in the fitness room, breakfast is good. They don’t do coffee all day.

Parking is ample and they have charging stations.

Best rooms are the 31/30’s of each floor. They have mobile key, although this hotel will not give it to you unless you show ID.

Rooms require a key inside the door to get the AC to work. Fridge and microwave available which is nice.

Great place to stay, friendly staff, I gave them 4 Stars for service because the bar was closed.

Overall, a nice room. Needs either a full length mirror or least 1/2 mirror somewhere other than the bathroom. Our toilet was clogged, and rather than send someone up to deal with it, they sent up a plunger for us to deal with it - that's why the service is 2 stars from me

The continental breakfast was decent - we only stayed 1 night so I don't know if they mix it up or if it is the same daily. I'd recommend adding some fruit. Half grapefruit, maybe some bananas. Otherwise, decent.

Would likely stay there again if in the area.

Didn’t feel like a 2 star hotel… it was clean, staff was courteous and the rooms were perfect for work and lounge.

Bathrooms were spacious and very clean.

Breakfast was a bit below standard, but plenty of fresh fruit. I’d stay again if passing by.

If you have to walk anywhere that is a local restaurant or coffee shop, not national chain, you might want to consider a different location.

The internet was slow for uploading speeds. As a photographer, I needed it to take less time.

We loved our stay at Springhill. The room was clean, organized, and fresh. I was quite surprised to walk into the room, and the TV was on with a welcoming message. The only thing I was not fond of was the toilet tissue. It was like recycled cardboard. The room setup was unique and comfortable. I was also blown away to find a morman Bible in one bedside table and a king James in the other. I didn't have a problem with it, I was surprised.
I love that the rooms are pet free, as my husband has animal allergies. Can not wait to come again. The breakfast options were also a plus! Thank you, Springhill.

Loved loved loved this hotel, the variety for breakfast was awesome. Everyone is so friendly. They provide turn down service after staying a certain amount of nights but I easily put my trash out and they still took it.

Good hotel
Very clean and newly.

The pool is smaller than looks in the pictures. It’s a small pool.

Stayed here for a week in early July attending a wedding. This was my first extended stay at a Springhill Suites. I was looking forward to my weeks stay as hotel reps on phone seemed friendly. However after my stay at the hotel I was quite disappointed and not sure if I would stay at a Springhill Suites again. The primary disappointment was in terms of the service primarily in the breakfast area and some of the front desk staff.
Sorry for the long review but hoping this gives mgmt areas to look for improvement

1) Front Desk - Biggest kudos goes to Kalona. Very friendly and helpful rep. She definitely went above and beyond the call of service to make sure on customer satisfaction. I was utterly surprised that the hotel did not have a coffee/tea station in the lobby. Considering we were a large wedding group (probably occupied >70% of the hotel), we asked if they could keep a coffee urn and/or hot water plus tea bags, sugar and cups in the lobby so our guests could get tea and coffee at night. Couple of the front desk staff denied our request and excuse was they are not allowed to do that under the policy. Kalona on the 3rd day went out of her way and actually got an unused tea kettle from her home and brought it to the hotel because she realized we were constantly in/out of rooms heating water one cup at a time. She saw the guest need and she went out of her way to get us at least something that would enable us to make 6 cups of hot water at a shot. That is what I call service and she always had a smile on her face.
In addition we also had good experience with Tim and Matt Cuevas who made an effort to help us when we approached them
The rest of the staff during day/night were not very helpful and couple of them were pretty abrupt in their responses as if we were a burden.

2) Hotel facility - nice clean facility and decent size. The rooms are a little small/crowded for 2 queen beds and layout is not very good. Felt cramped with 4 of us in the room. The bathroom door had no locks - not sure why?
Lighting was very dim and they definitely need more lights in the rooms. Also why would you have a coffee maker that can only make 1 cup at a time? Isn't that waste of energy? At least have 2 - 4 cups and if one needs only 1 cup, they can just put one cup of water

3) Breakfast - this was probably one of the worst breakfast experiences in my entire life, primarily from a service perspective.

- On several days when we got to the breakfast area, they had run out of oatmeal and cut fresh fruit. How can you run out of food when you still have 60-90 minutes to go during break. When we asked the rep if she could make more, she abruptly said no

- In addition, they would have run out of hot water to make tea and/or tea bags. Few times when I mentioned that there were no tea bags, she pulled out 4-6 bags and put it out. Not sure why only 4-6 when it was still long way for breakfast to finish. Also Isn't the staff supposed to continuously check the coffee, hot water and other food items and ensure it is stocked. Why do customers have to ask and then wait a long time to get it

- Hot items choice. On all the days hot items was eggs, sausage and bacon. They had no potatoes or any other hot items for vegetarians.really? Its just surprising that in this day and age, there was not hot item choice for those that are vegetarians. Every hotel I have been to either have potatoes or hash browns

Room Cleaning and Cleaning staff - this was fine and the cleaning staff were attentive and very friendly willing to engage with guests

So overall kudos to Kalona, Matt & Tim for providing good service when they were at front desk. This was my first time at Springhill suites and as a Marriott property definitely did not impress me.

The hotel is very accesible, service is awesome, lady who check us in was really nice, informative and very approachable.
Room was so big! Separate work space and sofa from the bed, very spacious.
I had to sleep in the trundle bed and it was very comfortable, i was very pleased to have chosen this hotel.
