Squidco Fishing, San Diego CA

I have Squidco only 4 stars because many of their items can be found elsewhere for less money in larger stores, however squidco has an amazing selection and is the only place in town I know of to get Aztec bouy lights. They also sell bulk line and offer their expertise which can be invaluable.

Hands down the best bait and tackle shop in town. They have a huge selection of everything for fishing and prices are very fair. Staff is extremely knowledgeable and eager to help.

Some time back I bought two VERMAC blanks and had these custom wrapped. One broke (a shatter break) pulling in a huge Yellowtail. Yes the fish was landed by my marbleized Accurate Boss Magnum 665 and on the remaining two guides.
I took the broken blank back to SQUIDCO and the gave me a brand new blank - No questions asked! Awesome customer service!

Customer service is excellent. They interact with each customer offering assistance, they know many of their customers by name, and they don't rush you!

My go two place for everything and anything I need for fishing customer service is amazing and knowledgeable. Plus good prices.

Flew in for a fishing trip, needed a little extra gear for times I was not on the boat, the young fella helping me was absolutely great, told him what and where I wanted to fish from jetty and the pier, he helped me out and hooked me up with some baits that didn't break the bank. Only regret I have is not picking up a couple more rods.not that I needed them but the prices there are amazing!

Love this place. Staff is always welcoming and very helpful. Good prices and good quality products! I’d have to say personally best shop in San Diego but that’s my preference.

Can’t recommend this place enough! Local knowledge, affordable prices, customer service was above and beyond. We’re from out of the area but anytime we need supplies or info on fishing in the San Diego area we will be coming here.

My boyfriend came into this shop looking for direction on fishing in SD today as we are new to the area and are looking to rent a boat to do some fishing next weekend. The young man that helped him was INCREDIBLY knowledgeable, kind, and overall helpful. He was able to provide extremely in-depth knowledge on equipment, regulations, location, and even on how certain fish taste! We will be back for sure, as we are certain he is the most knowledgeable fisherman in San Diego.

Great customer service! I came in to buy a salt water set up for the bay and shore. I bought a nice reel and a pole. They gave me a freshwater pole though. But it’s doable.

Friendly service, took in a splintered graphite rod for repairing 3 weeks ago. Until this moment i have not received my rod. I was told that they have lots of back orders for the summer. I will not gove this place a bad review since the service was fine and i am not in a hurry to receive my rod. Store’s stock is varied, small but packed, i am aure you can find what you need.

Great local tackle shop has just about everything. Great place to buy an Mexican fishing licience. Close to the freeway off ramp and conveniently located.
