sQwers japanese restaurant reviews
19 The reason I'm giving it a five-star it's in the category of less expensive sushi places and fulfilled All my expectations.
Located off of Geary and a very easygoing spot.nothing special and definitely not a popular restaurant area. It wasn't too full and it was easy to get a seat and they were super friendly and the bento box prices were very good. Among the least expensive I've seen in San Francisco.
Moved close to the area and have been wanting to try and oh my…. This is an absolute gem. Not only is the food absolutely delicious, but the people were such a delight and I seriously can’t wait to go back to become regulars here. I almost didn’t want to post a review because I waned to keep this place for myself, but I want them to know how much I appreciate them. It is a must try as much as sake is.
Incredibly friendly staff, delicious food. Chicken karage (sp?) was top notch, fun, intimate atmosphere. Decent rolls, good prices. Lovely saki. Overall a great place with great people!
The food is really good and the staff is fantastic. The owner came by and had a nice chat with us. Very funny and happy
While getting tires done across the street I had a tasty Grilled Pork Soba noodles bowl. Didn’t feel like sushi on a rainy day and this noodle soup fit the bill. Generous portion and delicious. Place is very clean and service prompt and polite. Will be back.
Excellent food and service!:) Came here on a Sunday at 7: 15 PM. I recommend calling ahead of time in case there isn’t enough space at certain hours. Shared a sashimi deluxe with two friends and the fish was so fresh. Our waiter, who I believe is also the owner (wore glasses), is a very jolly and humorous man. They play football games on TVs here as well!
Fresh fish always.those spicy chicken wings were to kill for.one dollar chicken skins, hearts and gizzards were great beer snacks.if you're a regular, they'd even let you try their house-made spicy sake.
Fantastic, high quality sushi! I order delivery and frequent the physical location, and it’s fantastic every time!
Excellent service, very nice. Food was amazing everything was delicious. I got the Godzilla roll
My sister and I found this restaurant and it was so amazing! The quality of the food was unbelievable and the service was exceptional! My favorite was Unagi Eel and I got to try for the first time the Otoro! It was so yummy. Highly recommended.
I used to order the chicken katsu curry (with extra curry sauce) every single week. It was hands down one of my favorite meals in SF. Within the last few months I’ve ordered the same exact meal but found that the curry sauce tastes completely different and miss the old days — have they changed the chef or recipe?
Go here. THE hidden gem of SF. Awesome sake and sushi. This is a must go culinary experience.
I’m sure the wait staff is very sweet and homely, but after reading these previous reviews I’m slightly confused. I just drank the miso soup which was incredibly sub-par, even as far as miso soup goes. The teriyaki chicken my girlfriend ordered was barely teriyaki at all and the sushi was o k. First time I’ve ever ordered from here and now I know why I stick to he best sushi spots in the City. I don’t mean to be harsh or rude but these are the facts.
Would definitely recommend eating here. Awesome atmosphere, flavorful food, good service. Fantastic work.
I love this place! They have a great selection, the food is great, and they deliver for free. 100% recommend!
I built my own ramen: pork broth, chashu and regular thin noodles with seaweed on top. Super salty and one of my least favorite ramen.but I've had a lot of different ramen so I've spoiled myself
Love SQwers! Everyone who works there is super fun and their sushi is bomb. Must try the winter wonderland roll or the super dynamite roll!
My wife and I recently moved to this area. Before, we had always struggled to find our "go-to" sushi spot in the city.
Well, SQwers changed that entirely. Massive menu, incredible quality, comically fast, great little outdoor seating, and legitimately the best staff of any restaurant. You feel like family when you eat here. Strongly recommend.
