SRM Urban, San Diego CA

SRM is great! Always has been and I will continue to stay with them. Their service is great.
Arielle in particular has been a huge help in my journey. When searching for a new apt. She stuck with me every step of the way until I found a unit I fell in love with. With time running out, this situation was getting stressful by day. But Arielle kept in close communication with me. She helped me with my unit, and helped me with the move in process to run smoothly. Can’t thank her enough! I truly appreciate all of her help ️
We even shared the excitement together when I got approved for my new place!

I moved from out of state and was very generous to offer multiple months of rent to be paid up front in order to assist with the process. Move-in date came, the unit was nowhere near ready. There was no offer to cover housing fees, and so I cooperated to have a move out credit. The unit smelled of paint, was filthy, missing and damaged items, and had no adequate heating system. The antiquated wall heaters barely got the unit to 40 degrees overnight, clear violation of state code. The front stairs have a large gap along the entire length of the staircase and across the top step. I request repairs and the exact same day I receive a call that an employee has falsely stated that my service animal attempted to attack them while entering my yard. Firstly, the staff must notify me if they will be entering the rental space, which include the yard. Secondly, I was in the yard during the supposed time. I am now in a position of needing to retain legal counsel before even unpacking. I strongly recommend avoiding this place.

Maintenance people are friendly and professional but my experience from renting 4 years was underwhelming. Management failed to take accountability and overall a headache to do business with.

Great for dog owners, but that's all they have going for them.

My experience with SRM has been wonderful and this is thanks to property manager Katie. My place had to undergo major renovations due to plumbing issues and Katie made the process a breeze. She thoroughly communicated and updated me throughout the whole thing and I cannot thank her enough. She has amazing customer service! This company takes care of its tenants. If you're considering SRM do not think twice they are incredibly helpful!

Wow, Lailahni T.provided the best customer service possible! Lailahni was very helpful throughout the entire application process, responding and answering all questions in an efficient and timely manner. She really strived to help get us into this place.

My wife and I love the new apartment that Lailahni helped us to get. It's a spacious place with a great kitchen and a fireplace. Another plus is the patio and its size.

The application process was easy and simple, like a traditional application, which makes it very user friendly. With Lailahni's help, it was a breeze.

On a final note, SRM Urban is the most pet friendliest property management company I've come across in San Diego since we began looking for a new place about two weeks ago. SRM Urban accepts all breeds and sizes, which was a plus for us as our Husky seemed to be a turnoff to other property management companies.

Update 8/23/22: I wanted to thank SRM Urban's office for promptly responding to my maintenance requests, which were all completed quickly. Israel and Drew assessed the situations and took care of the issues in my unit. Thank you both-especially Israel, who fixed a persisting problem with my refrigerator.

Don’t move here! The second you move out they stack on fees they take out of your deposit. Such as one extra day of rent, cleaning, painting, etc even when you leave the apartment in better condition than when you found it. Not to mention as I lived there they had a terrible problem with rodents, bugs, and rain water getting in. This place is a joke. As you can see in the pictures a roach in the blinds and base boards with enough room for bugs to get in and out behind the walls. Don’t rent here!

I’ve lived in two different SRM properties and I can honestly say, they’re the best. I was fortunate enough to find them back in 2019 and again in 2021. They make the application process a breeze and never make your four legged pals feel like a burden, they are very pet friendly! It’s one thing I really value about renting with them, is the fact that all our neighbors are also dog-people and share that commonality that makes us feel like a solid little community. Currently the only thing I would suggest would be more visits from management to make minor adjustments to the property since there has been an uptake in homeless. This is not just an isolated uptake, though, it’s been all over north park/normal heights area. Be kind to your neighbors and always be aware of your surroundings! (Just a side note for anyone who reads this). Thank you SRM for your years of being great!

SRM Urban made my residential experience easy and convenient. Simple online payments for rent and other expenses, maintained support when needed, and great service from the management. Lailahni was extremely helpful in my move-in/move-out process.

They answered all my questions immediately during the application process and the rental process and ensured that I went through the whole process smoothly and quickly. I am very grateful for these approaches! Everything in the rented property has been cleaned beforehand and has been handed over to its new owner with care. Everything you need has been thought of. My two roommates and I have been initiating a move to California from New York. Due to our past apartment hunting experiences, we all geared ourselves for a tedious and stressful application process. Luckily, one of the first property managers we were able to get in contact with was Lailahni T. From our first conversation, Lailahni made my roommates and I feel cared for and safe. Not only did Lailahni and her team remain available and answer all of our questions and concerns, but moved with such efficiency that they had successfully turned a potentially stressful situation into the most pleasant experience we could have hoped for. I found one of their properties online and Lailahni was very quick to respond so I called her. She was very clear about process of what it would take to the hold the unit and go about securing it! I was very nervous, but Lailahni was reassuring and offered me the best customer service. The property and amenities are amazing and they are the most dog friendly properties in San Diego! Lailahni assisted me with getting the unit and was very quick with all of her responses. Im very impressed with SRM so far and I can’t wait to move in!

I am so pleased, impressed and most of all thankful for the opportunity that SRM has granted me. Lailahni had great communication and was so sweet through the entire application process so that I can become a future resident of the home that I’ve been dreaming of! Great experience so far. Lailahni and SRM management have been wonderful and very helpful. I am relocating to SD with my husband for a new job. Lailahni was super helpful and accommodating. I initial found the apartment online and it was exactly the same and beautiful when I went to view it. I love that they are pet friendly and kept in communication whenever I needed anything.
