SS Jeremiah O'Brien reviews
30It was nice to be able to tour a piece of history. Was nice to have almost complete access to the entire ship. The displays were interesting.
Incredible to be on a ship with such history. A testament to the US navy, no doubt. Was honoured to have toured the vessel!
Awesome experience. I loved the recordings in certain spots. The restoration was such a good idea. Great visit
Super interesting museum. The volunteers who run the place are incredibly friendly and knowledgeable. The information in presented is a very accessible format. You can even manipulate one of the big guns. To really see it, you need at least an hour.
This was so neat and the kids loved it. I love that we can go on to this ship and really see what life at sea looks like. We walked the entire ship from top to bottom and enjoyed every minute of it. They give you a little background in the ship’s history so you understand what you are aboard. So cool!
A great piece of our naval history and so amazing to see. The videos and dioramas are amazing. A great vantage point for viewing the wharf area, too.
Great piece of American history. The ship is in excellent condition. The staff were cheerful and very informative.
This was soooo much fun. My girlfriend and i spend over 5 hours here and it felt, like half an hour. It was an absolute treat seeing, touching, playing with historical items on this self guided tours. I learned alot about maritime military. And i also learned alot about the tactical strategys taken during D-Day. I will be coming back again, best 20 bucks i ever spent.
This is amazing! The volunteers have done an incredible job and were so very lucky to get this complete vessel. The best thing for me is that triple expansion engine. A must visit.
This is an amazing piece of history that everyone in the San Francisco area should visit. Along with being very educational about the World War II era, it gives one a great sense of amazement and awe. One fantastic part is that you may wander the ship freely and explore the various levels of one of the last remaining Liberty Ships. This is definitely one of the highlights of being in San Francisco!
