My husband was here after a coma related to liver cancer and the hospital let someone kidnap him with a false power of attorney and no ombudsman present! Not even a family member and was never moitored for visitation!

A family member of our's is currently a pt here who requires 24/7 assistance with daily activities. Safety is a huge concern at this facility. I dont know if the staff is plain lazy or severely understaffed? Most of the time when we call the staff hangs up, rushes you off, and uses excuses they are in the middle of shift change (even when shift change was over an hour ago). Very poor results when following through with simple requests such as providing water or assistance with toileting. When brought to their attention we were told "if we were so concerned with our family member's care why don't we take them home with us? " The family has been forced to provide the pt their own cell phone number. However the staff cannot keep the phone charged or answer it even after arrangements have been made. During the past 2 years our experience has been 99% HORRIFIC. 1% is due to 1 evening LVN that is very pleasant to work with, but she has probably left since this whole covid thing has been going on. BOTTOM LINE, there is no reason SEVERAL CALLS SHOULD BE MADE within a couple hours to request for basic needs. The patients should be attended to much more regular than what is really going on in there. MANAGEMENT NEEDS TO CHANGE, BETTER CAREGIVING NEEDS TO OCCUR.

My grandma is currently a patient there who is blind. Most of the time when I call the staff hangs up on me and I have record of it. When I brought this to their attention i was told their was nothing wrong with their phone. Loke come on really? I have to block my number in order for them to take my call. I was forced to provide my grandma her own cell phone number as I was told my family calls too much and the facility cannot let her be on their line for too long. I could honestly say I've had bad experience with the front end staff 100% of the time. If my grandma would be able to see for herself I can assure you I would not ask the staff for help. Even after an arrangement was met to call during certain times I do and the staff cannot abide to their own arrangements. I lertally need to play phone tag in order to get semi helped and then told I call too much. Once again if the staff would not lie I wouldn't have to just to speak to my grandma. This place is not as great as I expected nor from what I was told it would be. I really hope the owner sees my comments and does something about it. This is not okay, period!

My grandpa is currently staying there after losing his toes. They are very friendly, the place is super clean and they do well in making the guests happy. This is one of the better recovery centers My grandfather has been to.

Hi I am a CW and I have been following up on my client numerous times and no one answers the phone. After reading all these negative experiences I had to visit my client to check on his wellness and make sure he is being treated well.

Today I was visiting my Grandma at St. Edna. I drove into the parking lot I noticed a Mercedes that was illegally parked and blocking an ambulance from leaving. As I approached the center I overhead the Building Administrator yelling at one of the medics about how he shouldn't have blown his horn in order to get the attention of the illegally parked Mercedes. Personally, if my Grandma was the one in the back of the ambulance, I would be extremely upset that the administrator was more interested in yelling at the abulance crew rather than finding the owner of the Mercedes. Someone needs a priority check!

My aunt is currently there and I was very impressed with the staff. The doctor came to talk to me the nutritionist and her nurse. I have worked in senior healthcare for many years and you don't see that very often. The day I was there they were also concerned with getting a dog out of a car and checking with all the people in the facility to see if that was their dog that was locked up in a car.

This place should be shut down. My mother was there for four months and I went almost every single day because I could not trust them. I observed abuse and severe neglect which I reported to the facility and to the state. I should have filed police reports. Call the police if you suspect abuse the state is understaffed and can't respond for a long time! My mother was injured by staff, they forgot to feed her dinner 3 times when I was there and I had to get her food. They told me the kitchen was locked nobody cared she didn't eat. Her husband was abusive and she told the doctor she wanted me to be her medical contact and the Dr said no it would hurt his feelings. Hurt the abusers feelings! Wow! My mom was treated like a mindless prison inmate with no rights. 1am procedures without her authorization. Very traumatic. I observed staff telling an elderly woman to shut the helll up. This was ok at night. Its a house of horrors at night time and they know it. My moms roommate had a broken pelvis and staff laughed when she cried out in pain from their rough changing procedures. Made me sick. My mom and I are still emotionally scarred by St Ednas. Hurts my stomach to think about it being open still. Something must be done to shut them down.

I was impressed with the cleanliness and the amount of staff. Sadly the follow up care/check out has not been good - prescriptions not ready, information given not used, etc.
