Mass is lovely; the cantor sings like an angel. The pastor can be a bit winded; but good homilies. I give it two stars because in the last month or two, the church has been undergoing renovations and Mass is in the parish hall. EVERY time I’ve been to Mass in the last month (4X, including today, Ash Wednesday), the ushers stand in the back and talk during Mass. They aren’t even whispering! I find their behavior disrespectful and distracting. Someone needs to tell them to be quiet or go outside.

Cancelling the Sacrament of reconciliation
On the eve of christmas is very hurtful to some of us who goes to work and relied on the posted schedule.plus why woukd they chose the eve of christmas not to give this Sacrament.for some.this is their way of purifying themselves to offer a clean heart on the birthday of Jesus

It has such a nice vibe there.
It is very serene, and you can always count on the beauty of the surroundings.
I would recommend visiting this church.

Going here on and off for years. I'd say it's mostly on now. There are a lot of people, and I like that. As a child, I was used to attending mass in a more typical Catholic church. The Filipino community is extremely hospitable.

Gorgeous church! Full of rich history. So happy they had a Noon Mass on a Saturday. Well attended too. It was Blessed Mother’s special day and they had roses we could offer to her. Mass was very nice. Thank you all for your ministry to the tourists and residents of San Francisco. God bless.

Went for Ash Wednesday - sermon was boring, repetitive and way too long. Other churches in the area understood that people were on their lunch break and gave a quick sermon so that ashes could be given out - but the clergy here is obviously detached from reality and made the congregation sit through a full mass that just droned on and on and had a collection that went on forever.way to be completely oblivious to the needs of working Catholics!

I used to go there when I was younger and lived here before; then I went back for a while when I was living in the shelter

Well thing have change at church during mass the doors were closed to public. We surpass our limit of parishioners for the church. Get there a little early is a good idea for noon mass.

I checked the church’s website for Mass availability since churches have not been open in California in general. The website gave the Mass times. I arrived for the 10: 00 Mass 30 minutes early. I discovered after the Mass started that it was being said in Tagalog. The website made NO mention of this rather important fact. I was going to let it pass and just make the best of it until at the end of the Mass the Priest made a snotty comment apologizing, not apologizing, for those of us who did not know the language, but that we could always learn Tagalog. This is still America the last time I checked, and I would welcome Father to encourage his flock to learn English.
