St. Petka's Serbian Orthodox Church reviews
6 My family moved down from the Bay Area to Oceanside a few years ago and we desperately needed to find an Eastern Orthodox church for worship and fellowship.
After visiting and attending services at numerous area churches we had decided St. Petka in San Marcos met and exceeded all religious needs. The priest Father Milovan is very nice and follows the tradition of the Eastern Orthodox faith and services.
The people are friendly and there is fellowship and lunch after the services in the kitchen hall. The food is highly rated and bountiful for all.
There is a mix of parishioners Serbians, Russians, Greeks, Ukrainians, and other nationalities. All very respectful of each other and very friendly.
My family have found a home in this beautiful cathedral style church and large kitchen and banquet hall facilities. The large banquet hall can be rented and has a large kitchen, a stage, and many banquet style tables which is perfect for a wedding or any celebration.
I highly recommend this beautiful church for all who are seeking to find a new place of worship in the Eastern Orthodox religion.
Does anyone know who the 3 people in the portraits are? I loved the way they looked & id like to learn more about who those people were:) many thanks, loved the temple & the ballroom
Food was so yummy.had a friend come into town and asked me to take him here again.prices are appropriate for the quality.
Everyone at our table was quite pleased.feels similar to a cafe in chicago i liked.
Beautiful church! The hall is huge and can be dressed up for several types of events (wedding, etc). I am not Serbian Orthodox but was lucky to attend an event here. A cocktail area, HUGE bar, large kitchen with stoves and refrigeration. It was fun and wonderful. The Serbian Festival in the Fall has the most amazing food that is cooked on-premise- you can smell it as you drive in. I would consider having a party here.
