Standard & Strange reviews
3 I am a reluctant shopper, and I quickly become overwhelmed when walking into a store, particularly one that tends to have well informed customers. Standard & Strange would have overwhelmed me if not for the excellent service I received.
I walked in and started to try and understand how the jeans were organized. I did this while also trying to avoid talking to anyone, because I don't necessarily know what I'm talking about, and don't want to feel dumb.
After I felt I had an understanding of how things were organized, I turned and asked the person working there for confirmation. I then went to ask if there was a general order so I can look at my size - He then asked, "Do you know what you're looking for? I can help you. " If you were to have started the clock at this point, I walked out of there with a pair of jeans in 5 minutes from that question - including trying on the pair, and nailing it on the first try.
I gave a general description, referencing some Levi's pairs I have had and liked and disliked. Gen grabbed a pair off the rack, as I was looking at it he asked my size and went to find it in the shelves.
It was a really great experience, and one I would typically not have as I would have simply walked out. Gen was extremely helpful while also giving me my space to explore on my own.
A collection of the illest fitting clothes I’ve ever tried. When you pay $150 for a t shirt and it shrinks so bad it’s not even close to how it arrived, you would assume they would stand behind it. Nope. I’ve bought a lot from them. If you have to return stuff it’s a serious pain. Email to get return label. They answer a few days or week later. Send label a few days or week later. You return for store credit only then it gets excursus few days or couple weeks later. Just a horrendous experience every time. I’m done. There are people selling this type of clothing online doing a much much better job.
I bought my first engineer boots here. A really expensive purchase for me and Eden (guy working here) and the other dude working were super helpful in helping me figure out sizing. I probably spent over an hour here trying on boots for the proper size. They made me feel welcomed at the shop and never rushed me. I even forgot my ID and they ran out and chased me down to give it to me. Great shop and customer service
