1 Our older son, Mikio, graduated from Stanford Graduate School of Education just one year after graduating from Harvard University’s Graduate School of Education.
It so happened that Chelsea Clinton also graduated from Stanford that same year with a B. A.and her parents, Bill and Hilary Clinton were present for the ceremony. Chelsea was roommates at Stanford for four years with Sarah Auld, one of my former elementary school students, who also graduated from Stanford that day. Sara and her brother, Brian Auld, were classmates and good friends with our two sons, all of whom attended Nishimachi International School in Tokyo, where I had formerly taught.
It just goes to show you that there ARE only six degrees of separation between all people on the planet - particularly those in the same society.
