Stanford Visitor Center reviews
6Excellent attention from the staff. It was a really good and interesting experience for my son and me. Great university, beautiful campus
It's the place where you can pick the guide book and the people are super helpful in case you need to understand some directions. Also there are two walking tours which starts from here - free (they are closed in holiday season as the tours are student led)
11: 00 AM
3: 30 PM
I went for it and would highly recommend this tour.
If you want to get a free tour of Stanford University, then here you are. The Campus Walking Tour departs from the Stanford Visitor Center. It is a great introduction for first-time visitors and tourists. Excursions spend 7 days a week 2 times a day 11: 30 a.m. & 3: 30 p.m. No reservations are required for parties of 8 or fewer.
This tour covers central campus, including:
The Main Quad (historic and academic center of campus, including the school of Humanities & Sciences)
Memorial Church
Engineering Quad
White Plaza (student activities area, including the Bookstore, Student Store, Old Union, and Tresidder Memorial Union)
I advise everyone to visit a free tour.
In this center you can also leave things and take a map of the territory of the university. The staff is polite, kind and friendly.
The center is accessible for wheelchairs.

Had a great tour with a senior student who was graduating that month. The presentation before the tour was informative and the student was knowledgeable and articulate, helping me get an understanding of the campus and all it has to offer.
Took a while to find the place, and is not cheap to park depending on times but worthwhile visiting.
Every day at 11: 30 AM and 3: 30 PM a tour guide assisted Stanford campus tour starts in front of this center and it is totally free. Generally, tour guides are Stanford students and the tour ends in front of the Stanford Bookstore Cafe which is the cheapest one in the entire campus. You can also purchase Stanford branded merchandise and souvenirs from the basement of Stanford Bookstore Cafe.
There is only one single-stall toilet for both men and women, so you have to deal with this)
