Best motel i have stayed at for a long time. Everything is renovated.clean.friendly staff.just awesome.

Stayed here Feb 20,2023 in room 1. One of the nicest rooms i have stayed in in Mexico. Totally updated, very nice decor. Basic room but very clean. Surprised by reviews that says dirty because I was so totally impressed at the cleanliness and the attention to detail on finishes.

Was there for a 3 night stay. Very conveniently located next to the OC Fairgrounds.
Staff were very friendly. Explained that they are remodeling after previous owner neglected it. Asked if I prefer first or second floor. Was given a newly modeled room. Very clean, excellent shower, big screen tv, comfortable bed.
Would have been nice to have a mini fridge/microwave in room, and housekeeping staff when making up the room left the bed unmade. Fresh towels were provided daily.

Yes, this is a motel undergoing remodeling, and thus there are areas of dust, construction materials and construction during the day. Once completed, this will for sure be an amazing place to stay. Will definitely stay there again.

The room was dirty, there was literal dirt on the floor of my room and dust, hair, and more dirt on the sheets and pillows, there was grime in the sink as well. I know it’s a motel but is cleanliness not a factor here? If I had know how a mess this establishment was I would’ve sacrificed the money to upgrade literally anywhere else.

New owners are very nice, experienced and dedicated to making this motel a safe, efficient and affordable motel. Can't wait to see the future of this establishment.

Home away from home for my husband and I. It's the perfect place for alone time away from the kiddos. We usually stay 4 to 5 hours only for $50. It's not all luxurious or updated but it's safe & affordable. Staff is very curious and on everything. Zero tolerance for any bad conduct. Which is great. Quiet and peaceful. All the rooms I've been in have smart tvs too that's always a plus. Stop by &: Check it out.

The only good thing about this place is it's location and it's water pressure. If you are having a guest expect the front staff to stalk and demand the hotels "guest" fee which is 20 dollars a guest. The hotel doesn't have a set price and it is arbitrarily decided on by how you look, and if you're going to be a liability or not. The roach situation is off the charts!

Best price in Newport beach. It's not the monarch beach club it's a simple room the remote might not work but sometimes it does. I always come back

Great location. Not pricey. And the employees were very friendly and very helpful. Room was clean and had everything I needed for a night's stay.

I lived there for 5 years. I was alone & working & couldn't afford to get into an apartment. I paid about the same as rent, without deposit and utilities. Plus, had a maid & HBO. Mostly travelers, I Liked it.

I've stayed here a few times. You get what you pay for. It's not the double tree or the Marriot so you don't pay 189$ a night at star inn usally less than 100$ a night. Also I like staying at independent operated places the corporate places tend to be dushbags about stuff have miopic rules and high deposits compared to the cost of the room. Some motel 6 charge 74% room deposit. I will say the Tv sucks at star inn but I like it hear nice quiet I can see my car. I'll keep coming back

Nice place, great owners/management. Good room for the rate and surprisingly quiet despite the tweaker element lurking about. Owners a proactive about chasing away loiterers but there's only so much they can do. Sorry, gotta deduct one star for tweakers

I enjoyed my stay here at Star Inn. Had a good nites rest and felt safe. My checkin was fine. Infact, this is my second time to stay here. The night manger is professional as is Tommy who first checked me in and now Maria are all professional. It is affordable for me should I need a nice clean room and comfortable bed to sleep. As, I say when I check out "I'll be back".

Nancy and her staff were kind and helpful the whole two weeks I was there! They kept my room clean and sanitized everyday! Thank you star inn for a great stay! I will stay there every time I’m in Costa Mesa!

The people "in-charged" are from the Asia continent.
They think they can do whatever they want to. I have been there for couple times and every visit they want me to stop by front office, when I'm there they ask me "$ 10.00 U. S. " and you can only visit 10 minutes. If you want to stay a little longer don't know how much more they ask you.
The rooms are old AF, bathtub is peeling off, no microwaves at all, no ice machine, room key is typical house room it's not with a card. The property is NOT kept with the minimum maintenance, drugs are all over the place there. It's a place you will desire never been there. It's a place that needs LOTS of work, has Hugh price, the people working there is NOT gentle at all. IT SUCKS.

Is an ok hotel. I'm just here vfir my knees recover but has lots of users and homeless in and out (weekends) avoided them by mind your own buzz ness waxx
