Amazing service, great hospitality, got my AC recharged there & now my car is colder than ever!

Ozzie is the best! After having a horrible experience in Beverly Hills
(avoid that area for ANY services), my trusted old mechanic from Noho
referred me to Star World. My Civic needed a new AC Compressor and
condenser, the Bev Hills shop wanted $1400 yikes. Star World was only $800,
that's nearly HALF or 50% off from these other crooks. Ozzie also pointed
out my car was missing the heat shield on front of the cat converter and
that's probably why the compressor failed. I bought the heat shield from
Honda dealer and Ozzie installed it right away for no extra cost! To the
review complaining owner is not friendly, sometimes he's busy and
distracted, big deal. Put on your big boy pants and wait for his attention
to be ready. He went above and beyond the call of duty to take care of my
situation.

I had to get my 1994 Miata's system vacuumed and charged after replacing my Compressor, Drier, and Evap coil on my own. I called around to multiple shops, and Uriel at Star World gave me a really great quote - 40% less than what the place next door wanted to charge. The whole process -a system vacuum and coolant charge- took less than 20 minutes. I'll be going here for my all my future charges. I was not paid for this review.

WARNING WARNING- I hate to write this because the guy who runs the place is nice, but nice is NO EXCUSE for being unprofessional. I wish I could give less stars. DO NOT LET THIS PLACE DO BODY WORK/ PAINT FOR YOU! They need to stick to AC service, or whatever it is they really do. I ignored the red flags that there were no body shop reviews. I came here to get an estimate for a finder bender. The guy tells me $300. HE WAS WRONG WRONG WRONG. The lady who hit me decides to pay out of pocket instead of insurance since it's $300, I get the $300 and she has me sign a release. The day comes to drop my car off, he then says it's going to be more money and to go back and ask the lady who hit me for more money. Obviously she's not giving it to me since I signed a release. So now I'm supposed to pay for his mistake. And he tells me to expect it to NOT look great. I'M NOT JOKING. At this point I'm looking to get it fixed by a reputable body shop and sue him for the difference. WORD OF ADVICE JUST LET INSURANCE HANDLE PEOPLE LIKE THIS.

No complaints here. They know what they are doing when it comes to AC. They are so busy it is sometimes difficult to get'em on the phone but the services are professional and the repair prices are very reasonable. They also back their work with one year warranty. I will be coming back to this establishment for sure.
