Starbucks, Santa Barbara CA

Honestly, this place is great to come and study.only giving it 1 star because when I went in to study today a barista was rude to a family.they obviously didn’t speak english well and didn’t understand that their drinks were ready at the bar.another barista tried to explain that their drinks were ready but I think that their hand gestures confused them so they didn’t pick them up.i understand it’s taking up space and it was the 3rd time calling their name but the barista had such an attitude.there was an obvious language barrier and could’ve been handled differently.a customer translated before I could what they needed to do and the family went on their way.obviously by the tone of voice that the barista was talking caused confusion to the family and was extremely unnecessary.they need to do better and respond appropriately.there was no need for him to get SO upset, they could’ve explained it again.please, reevaluate.thank you.

I came at 5: 35 AM (stopping on my way from LA to SF) and the workers completely locked the door, ignored my knocks and didn’t respond even though they were standing at the counter. The doors were kept locked and when one worker finally noticed me standing outside, she waved her hand to signal “go away. ”

I kept pulling on the locked door to show that it wasn’t opening, but she just ignored me.

They should all be fired because even the manager who was sitting there chatting with them continued to ignore me.

Who ignores a customer and tells them to go away. I understand that it was early, but the fact that they chose to disregard the time/opening hours and ignore me is just rude.

I had such a pleasant experience here while I was visiting Santa Barbra, most Starbucks I visit aren’t as awesome than this one. Everything was very clean and I had the best hot chocolate I have ever had at a Starbucks. The barista Luke was very friendly and made my drink fast and perfectly. Thanks Starbucks!

Been going to this place for over a year (every weekend) this time the staff had a bad attitude 6/4/2023. Was very unsatisfied

The short woman with a Bob haircut, possibly the manager, is rude to guests and to the homeless people in the area.

I heard her badmouthing a homeless man saying "people just keep giving them money which makes it worse"

She then went out and yelled and shooed a man away from the Starbucks patio who was clearly down on his luck but not causing any issues

Great Starbucks, friendly staff lots of room inside to enjoy your drink and relax, outside seating available and never a problem to find parking! Also in walking distance of state street and many other stores and restaurants close by! Always fast service as well never had any problems here with anything always 5 star service

Had about 2 hours to kill so grabbed a table and some coffee. Great service and the baristas were happy.
