Stearns Wharf reviews
18Had a great time going out on the LAND SHARK. 45 minute tour, 45 minute boat ride. A vehicle that doubles as a boat, what's not to like!
Sterns atmosphere is got a good vibe, if you sit outside make sure your fully under the umbrella. Birds are flying in an out full time, can get messy. Food was slight above average. Chowder was OK, if your a local you would rate it 3 out of 5 stars. Ordered the oysters blue tip, they were OK as well, service was slow.
This place is best visited with a curious mood. It's pier, but more. An interesting museum with ocean going creatures you can closely inspect, touch and learn about.
After which you can eat such creatures at the surrounding restrauts. Also a great burger joint for those who may whish not to eat the friendly fish.
In the winter if you are lucky, humpback whales have been known to feed with their calfs. Brown pelicans, sea gulls and seals also frequently visit.
No license is needed to fish. Has a great view of the harbor.
Have fun!
Great place to take your kids or to go with your significant other! Restaurants, shops, ice cream, Aquarium and Wine bars. Great fun for the whole family hahaha!
Santa Barbara Shellfish Company is serving fresh Abalone with Lemon Basil rice and Shrimp Scallop Pasta at the end of Stearnes Wharf
Parking along the warf was a hassle. There should be a process in place that avoids funneling motorists to an area that doesn't have parking. While trying to find and ultimately not finding a parking spot, the wharf seemed like a tourist trap. Hunches aside, nothing more to confirm this suspicion.
This is a great historical place with views of the city and the beach. However, I don't understand the decision to allow cars on the wharf and waste most of the surface area on a parking lot. So much potential wasted here.
Great place to take a boat ride with your family. There is 90 minute free parking. Check out Celebration public cruises for 60 minute or 90 minutes boat.
Beautiful pier located in Santa Barbara by the Pacific Ocean which gives an overall view of Santa Barbara. A must visit when looking for places in Santa Barbara.
Beautiful. Very small wharf. Restaurants close fairly early. All restaurants post their menus outside for viewing. Only 1 gift shop was open.
Disappointed. Out of they sky, I got the seagull dropping on me this is the first time ever. There also isn’t much to do and the shops are limited. I don’t know how people give this a 4+ stars.
Nice pier in Santa Barbara! It was very windy today. The pier offers some good views of the water and the sunset on the other side. A nice walk place as well!
Food was amazing! It was my family's first time here. The line was long but that's the only downside, everything else was perfect. The food, the customer service, etc.
The waves were a bit choppy but the sunset made up for the weather. Make sure to wear a mask because it can get pretty crowded. Make sure to stop by the shops and buy some delicious ice cream and candies. The yellow tug boat has a docking station here too for a great sea view of the beautiful Downtown Santa Barbara coastline.
Great old wooden wharf, and you can drive and park on it. Fantastic food and shops. Free parking on the wharf for the first 90 minutes. Love eating there and watching the sailboat classes out in the bay. Every now and again you can catch a sea creature or two rearing their heads up in the waves. Fudge to die for at the Candy & Snacks shop.
Okay since we were visiting East Beach we had to come and walk on Stearns Wharf!) it is a nice place to come visit and there are restaurants located on the wharf! Plenty of eating places near The Wharf as well!
The most beautiful view of the coast and the Los Padres Forest behind you! Parking on the pier and shops and restaurants! Simply a fantastic place to visit and breathe in the ocean air.
