Steins Beer Garden & Restaurant reviews
18Staff is friendly, food is super good, cocktails are well made and they have a huge selection on draft that rotates every week:)
The 2 stars are for the quality food and a few bears that are outstanding. The 3 missing stars are for the horrible service, Appetisers delivered with no plates, fly in my water, Food came out one plate at a time by the time the last plate came the 1st plate was cold. I asked for no onions onions on everything.
Not recommended.
Came here for a company function, and we took up their entire back patio facing the parking lot.
Good beers, good pretzels, and best of all, their service. We had a waitress shared among our four long tables, and she was able to remember all of our drink orders, as well as other one-off requests.
Pro tip on the entree selection; if you see short ribs on the menu, go for it, that's the best dish they have on the menu.
Good food, good drinks. They have a great selection of craft beers. Try the flights if you want to sample their offerings. You have three categories of flights: fruits, light or dark. Each category will have 4 types of beer to try.
The customer service is always speedy, lovely mood, friendly staff members. Will return here again when I arrive in town.
The staff was very knowledgeable and attentive. The place was amazing even if we could only dine out. Most of all the food was delicious. I love their truffle fries but most of all their DONUTS were to DIE for
Maybe the worse service I've ever had. We got there at 8: 30. Spent maybe 10-20 minutes before a host came but they had a table right away. It took about 20 minutes for a server to come. I ordered drinks and asked what desserts they have and the server said they'd be right back with a dessert menu. I never saw the server again for the rest of the night. It took atleast 40 minutes for our drinks to come (1 beer and 1 flights, which were very good).
We wanted to order more drinks and food, but no one ever came to our table. The table was sticky. The host said he'd bring clean menus but didn't (which was fine because they had a QR code menu anyway). We ended up leaving at 10 having only seen a waiter once and only got a round of drinks. The only way I flagged down someone for the check is when a different server came around for last call.
I've been wanting to try this place for over a year, but I won't give it another chance until after covid is over and hope they have better service them.
Since Covid, Steins has improved their outdoor space with a lot more lighting, heat lamps and comfortable, distanced seating. The beer selection is on point as always, and the food is somewhat typical but delicious bar food. As of late Nov 20, it's open and taking reservations on Open Table.
I was eagerly waiting for this since I love beer and this was close to my house. It wasn't as crowded as I imagined considering this was located close to downtown.
The event was very well organized and the volunteers were friendly and helpful.
There were 5 different beer stalls to choose from: Hofbrauhaus, Tied House Oktoberfest/ chocolate stout, fruh kolsch, andechs, South Bay church apricot /lemon. My favorite was the Tied house Oktoberfest closely followed by the Andechs.
The beer was pricey - 8$ for 0.5L ticket and 15$ for a litre. It was mandatory to get a stein which sucks since my friend who isn't an avid beer drinker and just wanted to sample them had to forcibly purshase a stein.
Overall, it was a good experience and a nice day out. Not too sure if I would want to come back.
P. S. Don't go here if you are looking for the authentic Munich Oktoberfest experience.
Great location to meet with friends. Next time I'll be back with my relatives. They have a lot of good reviews for a reason.
Good food and good beer. Glad they had a patio and were open for outside eating. Not really German food, but it was all tasty.
Sausage plate was pathetic. 2 small sausages, slices of bread, a tiny bit of potato salad (just cold slices of potato), mustard was okay but again, everything is so tiny! Fries were really dry.
This place may be good to grab a beer and have a nice relaxed chat with friends over it.
The service is slow too. And it was Tuesday.
There are other places to get a beer and nice food, I don't think I'm coming back.
I love this place a lot.theres a very special mood. The food is good.the service is effective and the crew is professional. The pay is reasonable. I warmly recommend.
Great place for outdoor dining during covid. Wonderful drinks, yummy appetizers! Their fried chicken is good, and so are their sliders. For beer, I liked the Stout they had.
We followed their instructions by placing an order online for to go. It says it only took 15 min to make but After 20, we were still waiting. After waiting for another 15 min, they said they didn’t see the order, so they are going to make it right away. It took us almost an hour to get the food.
I am in the same boat as a previous reviewer (Katelyn Bianchini-Williamsen), I hate leaving a negative review of this place because post-pandemic it's a fantastic place to get a drink and/or food especially in their outdoor patio.
My experience here a week or so ago was truly terrible. We were seated by a major walking path where multiple guest would frequently congregate unmasked, even though there were multiple tables available.
Staff had no interest of reminding guests to mask themselves when they got up from their table. On top of all this, a group (8+) decided to take a picture unmasked within a few feet of us with a Stein's server even taking the picture. Really disappointed, won't be coming back for a while.
We picked up an order from Stein's. Staff is super helpful. Abiding by social distancing rules. The bag was ready. The food was delicious. Almost the same as the experience on-site. We had a jambalaya and were actually surprised how good it tastee especially that it is not exactly what you would typically order there.
Fun place up pop in for good food or drinks. Always a good tap list to choose from. The poutine is really good and I recommend it. I have always had good service and had a very friendly waiter last time. One of your best choices in the area plus they have inside or outside seating.
