Step Ahead Computers, Yucaipa CA

I'm unsure why it takes any computer repair company three full business days to diagnose a relatively obvious hardware issue.

I've seen a lot of praise for Walter's professionalism in these reviews, and that's why I went here, and I wish I saw it this week.

Not wearing a mask when a customer walks in. Barely acknowledging any kind of greeting.

I 100% understand how understaffed every single business is right now. COVID did that. What COVID didn't do is make this dude waste my time when I just asked for an ETA of possibly a ballpark WHEN he might take a look at my laptop. That was on Monday, and today is Thursday.

They open at 10 AM. I called three different repair shops before then, this morning, and sent them pictures and they all said they could fix it by the end of the day.

I went to collect my laptop today and Walter tells me "There's no need to act like I took too long here. "

Man what? At least have the decency to tell a person "I'm overwhelmed. If you need quick help, I may not be your best option. " I would've respected that a lot more than this nonsense, and thanks for ever taking 90 seconds to call me even once.

Thanks for holding my work laptop hostage way longer than needed.

Very nice guys helped me out with my problem and i would recommend any one to go have them help you with any computer problems you may have

I felt Walter and his partner were more 'used PC' salesmen than PC techs. My father's laptop would not power on. They told me they'd get it powered on, and I paid $50 for their diagnosis. The next day, I was told the motherboard was dead and not repairable, and they pressured me into buying their refurb laptop for $275 (less $50 diagnosis fee). They said I'm better off buying their laptop since I already invested $50, and the cheapest used mobo I'd find would be $50-$75 plus $100 to install it. They lied! I ordered a new mobo online for $24 with a 2 year warranty and had it installed by "a different place" for $35. They told me the video chip was bad, not the mobo. If you want PC diagnosis and repairs for less, I highly recommend "anywhere else" in Yucaipa, not Step Ahead.

I thought I was quoted $40.00 through a special I saw online.
But, he informed me that I was wrong & it was $65.00. So, I thought it was too high a price to pay for just simply opening it up, (forgotten PW) but, what's ya going to do when you need a computer guy? Go to another computer guy?
I'm here now, so what the heck.

Had an issue with my Apple iphone. Walter got on the phone with me and explained thoroughly how to go about fixing the issue. Very helpful and patient. Thank you for your time. I would take my business to them and advise friends to do the same.

Dominique was really helpful and fast fixing my laptop I needed for school. He gave me a reasonable price and im definitely going to go there fir any future repairs.

This is bar none the best repair shop I have had the pleasure of taking my business too. Associate was helpful and attentive. I am by no means computer savvy, so having it being broken down me was a blessing. Unlike like other places, I was given options on my situation, seeing what would be most cost effective. You can tell they really care about the customer.

Great computer service, and repair store. I have recieved good service and sound advice about choosing the right computer equipment. I in the last year puchased an ethernet switch, a televisikn wall mount. The last call, to bring my desktop tower in for what i thought was a virus turned out to be just a keyboard issue so i also picked up a new keyboard from them. HIGHLY RECCOMEND!

Step ahead computer is great, fix all kinds of computers, TV's and electronics. The employees are friendly and service is 2nd to none. Check em out

My son dropped his tablet. Went in to see if it could be fixed. Walter was very helpful and fixed it on the spot. Thought it was going to cost an arm and leg. Much to my surprise didn't cost all that much.

Very pleased with the service here. Instead of going to the BIG places I decided to support local businesses and Im so glad I did.
Dominick & Walter were very helpful and knowledgeable. My laptop couldn't be recovered so I got a refurbished one there for a great price; Dominick went out of his way to recover all the data from my laptop and transfer it to my new laptop. Now I feel like a place were I can go if I have an issue with my laptop and they will assist me.

Great customer service, the interaction with the guy that works there was awesome! Unfortunately, they price of the repair for my TV was more than the price of a new TV, that is not the fault of step ahead computers though. Highly recommended
